  1. Late game passing and a late on side kick in a 60-0 game is classy? Really
  2. Passing late and a late onside kick in a 60-0 game is cllassy? Really?
  3. Slobchak, where do you see Carroll County on Henry's schedule? They don't want no more Henry County either, like several of the local teams. Your math and your reading skills need work.
  4. Owen was taken to the woodshed last night, 54-12. I was surprised at just how easily Henry had their way. Owen passes the look test and that was about it. Looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. Three on side kicks, a hook and lateral play and a reverse. Really? Is that all you had to offer? I was told they had a strong running game. Wildcats stuffed it. Owen Q.B. just threw it up hoping one of his receivers would get it. Henry Co. picked three and returned one for six. Henry offense ran through Owen like Grant took Richmond. Wait 'til next year for the "big upset" all you Rebel faithful. Haven't heard that one before. Careful what you wish for.
  5. Can't believe no one has started a thread on this game. Mustang faithful are silent after losing their last two. Trimble trying to rebound and get a win. Is this a toss up game? Remains to be seen.
  6. Are you all still battling about the Henry and Trimble game. IT'S OVER. Move along. Trimble has another chance tonight just like every other team in the state. Beat North Oldham and things will look better tomorrow morning. Don't look for North to call off the dogs if they can. They're struggling , too. Good luck Raiders, put it on 'em. No more bad games this year.
  7. Owen is feeling real good about their chances this year against Henry County. And why not, they're unbeaten and claim a win against a 5A school. Could be a good one. Hope the rain stays away. Henry County by 4 touchdowns is my call. How's that for spoiling your upset bid! See ya' at the game.
  8. I'm with you Killer D. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. They can look up Henry County's schedule and make their own judgemant. Don't keep it up with the Trimble Co. faithful. That game is history and both teams have another game Friday. Best of luck to both teams.
  9. Henry starts a 3 week road swing at Owen County this Friday. Owen seems to have it going in the right direction this year. They feel like they have a good team. Henry is coming off two straight victories. Should be a good one. Looking forward to it. Who gets the win in Owenton?
  10. Knute Rockne seems to be questioning North's toughness as well. Perhaps he has some observations to relate? Teams and players are certainly able to turn things around. I think North will be fine come district time. That's really all that everyone works towards, isn't it.
  11. Colonel Mike says Henry kicked Trimble why they were down. Don't know what else Henry could have done to keep it any closer. As a coach you can't tell your team to not play hard. Wholesale subs during the game. All but two in a Henry uniform got on the field. Those two were recent additions to the team. Trimble is having a down year and will have a very long season with so few players. I don't look for them to be on Henry's schedule again for some time. Building a program starts in the lower grades, then middle school and finally high school. It doesn't happen overnight and it takes a commitment form coaches, players, administration and the community to put it together. Good luck to Trimble in the future and good luck to the Wildcats. for the rest of the season.
  12. North seems to always have problems with mental and physical toughness. Have some good skill kids but lacking in the trenches where games are won. Injuries are a pert of the game but you have to play when your hurting. Big difference between being hurt and injured. I had a coach tell me one summer at the beginning of practice, "This is the best you'll feel 'til the season's over." You know what, he was right.
  13. Henry County 44-6 (yawn) Trimble outmanned at every poaition. Coach J called off the dogs. Trimble scores with 17 seconds left in game against Henry's JV teaam. Running clock for second half just like the Raiders wanted. Hope the injured Raider recovers soon.
  14. Talk to me True Blue, how was I misinformed? And to Walter Slobchak, Henry runs a spread offense. You throw the ball if your 60 up or 60 down. It is the style of offense they are using. It's never a coach's job to stop his own team. That job belongs to the guy on the other sideline. You can't tell you kids not to play hard. Somedays you get the bear, somedays the bear gets you. Get your numbers up, practice hard and get better. That's what I was told a long time ago.
  15. Henry County seems to have righted the ship with a nice win against South Oldham last Friday. Trimble, I'm told, has 17 players and does not want to play the Wildcats. I believe Coach J. will not make the Raiders sacrificial lambs. He'll give his starters some time and then play the younger guys. I think this is the final meeting between the two teams as Trimble will not play them after this game. Carroll, Eminence and now Trimble go off Henry County's schedule. The locals are falling away. Henry just continues to improve their program and beef up the schedule in preparation for the district games. Henry's middle school team is undefeated thus far this season and winning by 40+ a game. This Friday, I'll take Henry in a walk.
  16. It definitely was not something worth the $7.00 gate fee to watch if you are a Wildcat fan. LHC will win a lot of games this year. Henry has a ways to go before it can post a win. Enough blame to go around. Bad receiving, poor blocking and very poor tackling, special teams were poor on kick off coverage. Henry still has some on the injured list that can contribute. South Oldham got a big win last night. Henry travels there next Friday night. It doesn't get any easier. Short time to make all the improvements needed. But it will happen. Stay tuned.
  17. Leonard's loser will back around by Thursday givin' his loser for this opening night game.
  18. Holy Cross says it's their year. They travel to New castle Friday night for an opening night game with the Henry Couinty Wildcats. Which team starts the year out on the right foot?
  19. Louisville Holy Cross visits Henry County this Friday. Who starts the season on the right foot? Ol' Leonard will be checking in later in the week with my prediction.
  20. You LCA people should look at the Henry County thread and see what they think of Ray Graham being an "exemplary" man. Very, very unprofessional what he did. Timing could not have been worse.
  21. No one has mentioned the Graham had a cookout with players and their families 4 days before jumping ship. He professed "this is the right place" , talked of his love of the team, the community, his staff and the administration that hired him. He should have been a carnival sideshow barker or snake oil salesman instead of a high school football coach.
  22. 'Ol Leonard is not a happy camper today. News yesterday that head coach MR. RAY GRAHAM has left the Henry County Football program just two weeks before practice begins is stuck in my craw. MR. RAY GRAHAM, a man thought to be of high moral and ethical character, has slapped the faces of the Henry County players and their families, the administration that hired him, the football staff, and the community. MR. RAY GRAHAM, in short what you did was not ethical or moral. It was an act of a person thinking only of himself. The entire county today knows all they need to know about MR. RAY GRAHAM. You may think of yourself as a good person, but what you have done at this time of the year, barring any family or health emergency, stinks. No one and I mean no one, can come in here now and make all the connections needed for our football team in two weeks. And, by the way, MR. RAY GRAHAM, you should not feel as if you have two teams now. You only have one. A person should not burn their bridges in their life as you have done here. I could continue on but what good is iit, really. You, MR. RAY GRAHAM, are gone and our football team is scramblin' trying to right the ship. Don't you give the Wildcats another thought. We will be just fine. These are tough kids and they will make the best of a rotten situation that you and only you created for them. Be careful what you wish for LCA. You could be next. Get me outta' here Percy, somethin' smells bad 'round here.
  23. Henry County should be able to put a good team on the field come August. Senior class has been playing together several years. New head coach this season. Will have to wait and see just how things shake out.
  24. I hear Henry Co. has a new kicking instructor on board. Should be interesting.
  25. It was announced today that Ray Graham will be the next Henry County head football coach.
