Trimble County vs. North Oldham

Featured Replies

Can't believe no one has started a thread on this game. Mustang faithful are silent after losing their last two. Trimble trying to rebound and get a win. Is this a toss up game? Remains to be seen.

Hard to see this as a toss-up game. Both teams struggling a bit; Trimble because of numbers; North due to inexperience and injuries. But even with 11-15 players on the sidelines due to injuries, as they had last week, North will still dress around 55 kids, and - more importantly - the Mustangs simply have far too much speed for Trimble. Speed kills, as they say.

North is exceedingly young up front, with virtually the entire OL composed of sophomores. As such, they will play like sophomores - brilliant at times, brutal at others. Bodes well for the Mustangs for the next two years, but they'll take their lumps in the trenches occasionally this season. Jeffersontown - bigger, faster, and more experienced up front - manhandled North two weeks ago in the trenches.

CAL also took advantage last week of its strength up front, and North suffered its worst loss since 2006.

North will keep the ball on the ground unless TC can force them to pass, but even though this will produce a shorter game, the Mustangs could win big if Trimble can't corral the Mustangs' speedy runners, such as Zach Evans, Austin Crawley, and Cody Crawley. Evans had 267 yards rushing vs. Moore and 4 TDs; Austin Crawley was over 100 yards vs. Moore and had about 181 yards rushing last week vs. CAL. Cody Crawley just missed 100 yards vs. Moore... Chris Streicher will also likely see carries as North spreads the ball around a lot; individual runners rarely get more than 10 carries a game.

If Trimble's QB is still out - I heard he was injured last week?? - could be a very long night for the Raiders.

Somebody's going to feel better on Saturday morning... and you have to think North should be favored by several touchdowns tonight.

Pegasus Sports is not broadcasting this game - we are doing the Oldham County - Eastern game - however, for anyone trying to keep updated on it, we are hoping to have updates from Goshen throughout the night. http://www.pegasussportsky.com

Some of us are still out here and bleeding teal and black 'Ol #70.

I'm laughing because I almost put up a smart mouthed post asking why there was not a fever pitch thread going about this high profile game. Forget Trinity vs X, This the battle of North US 42 were talking about. Goshen vs Bedford for god's sake.

No disrespect to Trimble but if North does not dominate it will be a new low for the program. As Col Mike says there's just too many bodies and too much speed to keep up with for Trimble County.

Regarding the last two games for North. As the saying goes...talk is cheap. I still think CAL is a quality 2a team with some size and talent so that loss would be stomachable to some extent but not that beat down. North needs to put pride and attitude together for the next two games and we'll be on track. Talks cheap. Time to execute!
