No he has not taught that. There are legal chop blocks and illegal. You need to go back and study the rule book. Players on the LOS in the tackle box can, all other players cannot. Also a player can not run toward the LOS and chop that is here the problems arise. :thumb: You must have been watching a Middle school game b/c Bell and Corbin have not played in a few years. :fire: I hope Friday night is a good hard nosed clean game. Whoa whoa now. What do you mean start this now. This is some stuff that is very close to home. My kid that was hit below the knees numerous times in one game is not Whining!!!!! It is plain and simple DIRTY!!!!! Pepper judging from your posts you are a sensible person you would not like or condone things that went on in the last game to a child of yours. And it was not just my kid it was any lead blocker for Bell getting cut down with illegal and dangerous play. I hope the officals will not let it happen. Pepper if you think I am whining please PM me and I will send you a film that will make your knees/shin's HURT. No Mills did not learn that from Dudley. I heard Mills with my own hears a few times discussing the dirty teams when he was at Bell. Knox was on the top of the list seems they are still there.

When did Rock kick two extra points in the last two years against Bell??? It is totally uncalled for to hit a kicker/punter after the kick, he is unprotected and very vunerable. It was a bush league move to the 900th degree. On the fumble recovery the player was clearly down. It is not NFL you can't get off the ground and run. Besides that he was touched while he was down so even in the NFL he was down!!!!!!!! Look at the film it does not lie. Rock played very hard and is still one of the top 5 teams in 4A. I applaude the group of seniors they have very tough kids. #22 has been a tough little nut for a few years. I wish them luck in life. Coach Parkey did a good job in his first year and Rock was Rock. Bell is just better in all phases.

The last game reminded me of some of the basketball games you see in the 13th region. The Refs take totally control of game with bad calls and some untimely ghost calls. That was clearly the worst officiating crew I have ever seen. Good thing about the playoff's is they will be from another region and will not put up with non-sense from the sideline and on the field. A few no calls in that game really bothered me in particular. KC LB'ers both inside and outside clearly took on every lead blocker for Bell low, below the knees. Those plays should have been personal foul "defensive chopping" calls on KC everytime. Those are very dangerous plays and should be penalized. Those tactics have to be clearly taught by a coaching staff and I think they are the result of all the bad feelings by us Bell fans. I know they have really bothered my and others feelings towards the KC coaching staff. Maybe this time they will atleast shake hands. If my math is right this is Bell's 6th trip to the Regional Championship in 8 years? This is KC's first.

I think so. Knox will experience the REAL BELL this time around. Say what you want Bell played awlful last time around, I don't think the senior leaders will let it happen this time. They have heard all the talk how "Knox will beat them in the Playoff's." I think they will want to make a statment.

Knox comes to Bell on Log Mountain. Bell beat Knox 21-0 in the regular season in a penalty filled very sloppy game. Thoughts everyone????

Very close game in the 1st half 14-0 at half. Rock comes out and returns the kick back to the Bell 25 or so. Then scored a couple of plays later. First TD Bell had given up in a couple of MONTHS. I think it just made them mad b/c they scored 5 unanswered TD's to run away with the game. Great game for Bell and look foward to seeing what they have in store for Knox.

This score was very suprising to me until I looked up CC record and seen were they got beat by Highlands them by 61-0.:eek::eek: Good win for JCHS and good luck next week.

Snow is on the ground here is in SEKY. Going to make for some interesting conditions to play in. Been a few years since I have seen a High School Snow game.

I agree about HHS they are sitting pretty. Bell has a pretty tough road. Rock, then Knox, then Boyle or Lex. Cath.

:laugh: Bell really plays only 4 seniors on defense. They will also have 6 back on offense. Trust me nobody will be shedding tears for Bell next year. They will be ok. :thumb: Freshman class had good numbers 14 or so but had a few kids get hurt and could not finish the season. Incoming freshman class is good sized and very good as well. :fight::ylsuper:

I think that is a game that still drives Bell today. Most of the Seniors now were starting as Sophmores on that team and remember that game well. :devil:

I think HHS will add to the hardware. BS had a good chance to knock them off but I would say Coach Mueller has had some spirited practices this week.

More like 3 hours. But cold for sure!!!!

I am not Odessa but I will tell you. They are running team first. Lots of 3 back and I sets. Very little passing. They have good size along the front lines and play a physical style of football. Can throw the ball some but rather run it right at you. Multiple fronts on defense but their base is a 4-4 look. Decent speed, #13 is a very good back and has good speed.

Boyle for a 1/2 and LC for a 1/2. Payback is a very strong emotion. Really I don't think the players or coaches care as long as we are on the field playing for a chance. IMO and I speak only for myself I had much rather play another public school for the chance to go to L'ville instead of a private. Just in case we don't come out on top. This hole shooting match depends on 1 game at a time and Bell must take care of Rock on Friday night which I expect them to do.
