Panthers overcome a long bus ride, the weather, and a very good Boyd Co. team to advance to the regional finals for the first time ever.

Congratulations to Knox Central.

That squib kick at the end of the first half just took the life out of Boyd. Not sure why Boyd didn't just kick out of bounds, but oh well. Good season for the Lions and congrats to Knox Central you guys have a nice football team.

Sounded as if that kick did kill their spirits from listening to it on the Radio.

Players only play as well as they are directed, and from some of the games I have listened to, the direction has been questionable.

Good job Knox Central.

Good not sure about Very good????

Nice win for Knox represents our district well. Look foward to the game on Log Mountain next week.

District 7 showed that they are much better than anybody in the other district. Showdown next week on Log Mountain. Can't wait for the Panthers to come to town.

District 7 dominates again.

Bell and Knox will be a head knocking afffair. Dudley taught coach Mills well. I believe Bell is to much for KC this year but I expect the Panthers will make them earn it.

Congrats to Knox Cent. on a great win.

Great job Knox

:thumb: I like this format of playing the opposing district much better than the interdistrict playoff of last year.

I realize we have the stronger district but nothing wrong with giving some kudos to a #1 seed.

I also look forward to coming to Log Mountain. Always have.

Me too it just lets the best teams meet. District 7 has the better teams. Bell has no problem facing teams that they have all ready played. Rock and KC are the better teams didn't like playing them no matter what like it has been in the previous 2 seasons.

Here's the game story from the Ashland newspaper.
