Franklin County vs Lou.Waggener

DeRon Hicks-WR and Oakley Watkins-OT out of Franklin County are both garnering Division 1 interest!

Why is Ferg not playing? Great start to the tournament for DS and keep making Kentucky proud!

Watkins is about 6'2" and weighs around 235! Im not sure of his weightroom numbers but he is one to look for in the upcoming years!

Many golfers do participate in tennis as well as basketball!

We are not saying that the 7th is the toughest. We are saying it is one of the toughest. Top to bottom the 11th will still be the toughest in my mind with Scott County, Dunbar, Lexington Catholic, Franklin County, Bryan Station as the front runners. Throw in Madison Central, Henry Clay, LCA and an improved Madison Southern team and you have the deepest region in the state. The 11th and 7th will once again be the top regions but the 11th in my mind is the best in the state again!

Scott County over J-town by 5 in OT. This game had tempers flaring. Coach Hicks charged and chested up with Coach Morrow of J-town. Both teams assistants along with referees had to break the two up. A few minutes later, a Scott County player and a J-town player got into it and players from both benches came on to the floor as did fans. This game got out of hand and showed that Scott is very beatable with 3 close games in this tournament aganist Franklin County, North Hardin and J-town.

Linden High out of Michigan was also in attendance!

Congrats to Allen! Also it is nice to see 4 players from Frankfort recieve All-State recognition in Frankforts Aldridge(1st) and Barnes(3rd), Franklin County's Johnson (1st) and Western Hills Buchanan(2nd).

Eric Quigley(South Oldham) defeated Phillip Ardnt(Garrard County) in straight sets to win his 4th straight state singles title. In girls singles, Lauren Kline(North Oldham) defeated Samantha Maddox(Lexington Catholic) in a good finals match. Congrats to all of these athletes for great seasons.

Franklin County could be a team to watch come tournament time. The Flyers have wins over solid programs. With that being said Franklin County or Scott County could come out of no where and win the 11th.
