commoncat
Just wondering what sports (if any) that your high school golfer plays when the season ends. Basketball seems to be the only one we have time for that doesn't interfere with golf.

ColonelCrazy
I knew a few golfers who also played baseball.
jahearme
Basketball, baseball, and swimming are the only ones that are most common. I had a golfer once that was also a wrestler. I always thought that was kind of funny.
bellalumni40
I played basketball and baseball in addition to golf, but I wasn't as good as I could have been, or as good as I am now at golf in high school. Basketball would seem to be the one that would take the least away from golf. Knew a few guys that played both golf and football in high school. I would think Tennis would be something a few golfers play, but didn't go to school with any.
commoncat
I knew a few golfers who also played baseball. My son enjoyed baseball, but with the Pepsi Tour spring series starting in March and multiple events in the summer (plus practice time) we just couldn't make it work. The Professor
For many years at GRC alot of our golfers also played basketball. Same at Owsley County. Baseball doesn't mix very well with golf, though. After a long winter's wait, many golfers are eager to get back on the course when the weather warms, not the diamond. Henry521
What about winter indoor Tennis. It seems to be the same (similar) swing and hand eye cordination.

golfDad90
My son plays table tennis during the winter -- it's great for eye-hand coordination.
beyondtheark415
Basketball is a great sport to play in the off season for Kentucky golfers, because in the winter it is too cold to be a range or course junky and it keeps you in top shape and helps build up muscles that help the golf swing. fillies15
I myself play baseball and basketball. which basketball does not take anything away from golf at all. but baseball on the other hand does. I could be practicing up for golf season right now but the two swings do not intervine to well. and after we are done playing in the regular season, summer ball comes along for another month till about just the time when golf season starts. but during summer ball I will start playing no matter what. fillies15
There is a kid in my school who plays- soccer, golf, tennis, and football. So at one point in the season he plays three sports at a time. And he was our number one man.
