Tournament will consist of pool play, followed by bracket play. Last year's Bluegrass Champion was Mason County.

 

Games will be played at Western Hills, Frankfort High, and Franklin County. Championship Game will be played at Franklin County.

This looks like a reall good field. It should be a great tournament! I may make a trip up for some of these games to get my basketball fix!

This is also the same time as the AAU state at the KBA. Well, at least the last 2 of AAU are at the same time as the first 2 days of this tourney.

 

With that, how is Scott Co. going to be in 2 different places at the same time? Will their games not be played at the same time in the 2 places? Will they drive back and forth to play all those games? Or are they fielding 2 teams to play at the different events?

 

Anyone with any knowledge of how they are going to pull it off?

Scott Co. is planning on playing their freshman or JV in the pool play and then sending their varsity in for the bracket. This means that somebody is gonna get shafted in the bracket because they could win their pool and wind up playing Scott Co. who will bring in the big dogs for the tourny!

Yes it is. And it was Setty who hit the three.

Scott Co. will also have a JV team playing at the AAU at the KBA. Probably be their freshmen team.

 

Meaning they will have 3 teams going this weekend, with their main varsity heading to Frankfort to play in the Bluegrass tourney on the 23rd and 24th, regardless of where their JV team gets them seeded after pool play.

 

I agree with SecondComing, not a good deal with whomever ends up in the bracket with Scott Co.

Could see some suprise teams come out of this, especially if all of their team isn't there.

This is an excellent summer tournament to end the session with! Games are at three venues so that the games are on full courts not half courts, and the teams generally want to end the summer on a good note, so they play to win as opposed to the team camps where the coaches are more looking at players than concerned with final outcomes.

Anyone have info such as game times, brackets, etc., or a website? Thanks!
