Montell Morones may just be the best player in Lexington. One name that also should be mentioned heading into next year is Matt St. John out of South Laurel, I'm not sure how much more he'll grow but if he gets to 6'9 he'll be a mid to high major big at the next level.

There was a kid at North Hardin a couple years ago named Jamarious Sykes who was listed at 7'1 as a soph. He moved to GA but had supposedly moved back. I'm not sure though.

Wrestling in Kentucky is really taking off. The middle school state association has grown to the point where we may have to introduce district tournaments prior to Regional tournaments. Wrestling has really improved as of late in the state and will continue to do so. One thing that has really improved is the quality of instruction available to the young men and women. The hardest thing for wrestling programs to find in th state are qualified coaches especially at the beginning levels.

Frank Crossman went to Tates Creek.

Franklin Co. is a very solid team, I'm surprised Scott Co., blew them out like they did the first time. Andy Donovan is a very under rated big man. I still think Scott is going to grind it out.

I love Montgomery's new Gym. It's time the tournament was rotated, it's seems like there is a lot of sour grapes going on in this thread.

Henry Clay lost to Bryan Station in the freshman district championship, they split the season series.

Lexington Catholc has too many weapons, Lex. Christian has shown rapid improvement the last couple of years, they just aren't there yet. Lexington Catholic 75 Lexington Christian 55

I think Shelvin Mack has had the best year of any player in the state and that is what tips the vote to him over Miller, JMO.

Tates Creek has also been injury prone this year. Losing 3 of their top 8 in the rotation including Carlos Parris and Darius Walker. Henry Clay does have a nice fr. team, I watched them beat Lafayette by nearly 40 points.

I expect both Madison Central and Scott Co., to have a team in the not too distant future. In addition the best girl I have seen this year has been Quintessa Role a 103 from North Hardin.

Carlos Parris was the 3rd player in the top 8 to go down to an ACL tear for TC this year.

Dunbar won't be there. Tates Creek the #3 team from region 7 will be there instead.

This is the best move for Tates Creek. It ripped out our soul the first time he left, I can say that honestly having played for him at TC. We fed off of his energy, Tates Creek will be competitive sooner rather than later. Lafayette was the worst team in town annually, before he went there, he can flat out coach. Is Robbie Sayre the going to be the man at Lafayette?
