  2. I think this game just proves what I said earlier about something being wrong at PLD, some like to put their hands in the sand, but all is not right at Dunbar, and its been that way ever since Meighan left. It has been a revolving door of coaches and no program will be successful like that. Since I played at TC when we were fairly successful 4 straight regional championships and 1 state title game appearance, I look and see how far TC has fallen it rests squarley on the inability to adapt to a modern game (i.e. passing). The nature of the beast that is 6A dictates you cannot win year in year out exclusively running the ball. What worked at East Jessamine doesn't work at PLD, that must be understood and successfully adapted if success is to be had.
  3. I'm sorry but this comment is wrong. Dunbar and Tates Creek have much better crowds than Henry Clay in every sport. I've lived and died Lexington sports for the last 20 years, and Henry Clay has always had the smallest following fan wise. Lafayette's crowds are starting to grow in football too (not including band parents).
  4. Montgomery Co., should be used to playing Lexington schools by now. I knw they played Creek a few years ago and got throttled pretty bad. BTW, I saw this coming, Montgomery played terriblyfor 3 qtrs. against a severely outmanned Paris last week. Additionally if we are speaking from a strictly from a talent standpoint, no one in Lexington has more than Station.

  9. ^^I remember that as well. He had many "blowups" during that game.
  10. Some parents were on the sideline and the coach started yelling really loudly for them to leave. I mean really, really loudly. I didn't think much of this since people not directly associated with the team should be on the sidelines anyway. Then about 5 seconds later (not enough time for those to leave to leave), he goes nuts, he gets into someone's dad's face and just explodes into an expletive filled tirade. It really looks like there is going to be an altercation (it was that heated). Well the important thing here is that the score is still really close and Paris has MC 4th and 6 and the kids are so worried they are staring to the sideline BEGGING, I mean absolutely pleading for their coach to keep his head in the game. No defensive signal gets sent in and MC gets a huge first down and the rout is on. This was only one of many incidents during the game, he got up in his kids faces aa lot (more than is appropriate) and yelled at them very aggresively. You could just see the kids quitting on him during the game. The guy also threw his headset at least 4 or 5 times, and then he kicked the yardmarker at the 40 yard line about 20 feet, when a call went against him. He seems like a really good young coach, but he definitely let his emotions overcome him in this one
  11. Tates Creek guard Michael Sparks has committed to play basketball for VMI!! Congrats on the D-I scholarship!!
  12. The reason I say addition by subtraction is if guys don't want to be there and are going to quit when the times are tough, then it's better your gone so Coach knows who he can depend on.
  13. I really don't wanna throw any names out there, but the main one,was a two way starter who was TC's most athletic player and the only legitimate speed threat on the varsity level. I love Ty but he is shifty and has great vision but not top end speed.
  14. TC is just not very good right now. Additionally they have had some key personnel quit recently, however from my vantage point that is addition by subtraction. Lafayette 26 Tates Creek 17
  15. If MC plays the way they did against Paris, Station will run wild. Paris only had 22 kids dressed and until Paris' coach had the biggest sideline meltdown I have ever seen, they were in the game.
