Aaron Morris is an ok shooter from deep, but he would be much more effective if he went to the post. He doesn't need to live underneath, just take advantage of his gifts. He could a lot more rebounds if he wasn't always hanging out by the 3-pt. line. He needs to do what is best for his team. BTW-Phares will prove he belongs.

His game says otherwise.

I liked the list being formulated by the 9th region guys/gals, so lest do it for the 11th. My Personal Top 10(No Bud Mackey, no Aaron Boyd, don't know if he's playing this year, if he does then he is on the list.) 1. Victor Moses Henry Clay, he is the best post in the 11th and has really improved recently. 2. Shelvin Mack- Bryan Station, great talent, smooth with the ball should go D1 3. Michael Sparks- Tates Creek, has never been asked to be the man, he will this year. He has already comitted D1 to VMI. 4. Aaron Morris- Mad. Central, natural ability would dictate Morris a #1 ranking but he floats to the perimeter way too much. 5. Taylor Stewart-Lex. Catholic, 6'5 physical gurads who are dead eye shooters don't come around every day. He reminds me of david Graves, but is just a notch below. 6. Nathan Novosel-Lex Catholic, a 6'5 big with good post skills,heard he is working on perimeter game to adjust to college game. 7. Dante Stewart-Lafayette, a pure shooter, will need to show more leadership for Lafayette to rebound. 8. Jordan Smart-Lex. Catholic-another excellent shooter has already accepted a prefered walk-on role with Vandy. 9. Keshawn Simpson-Mad. Central-atheltic post player who will only improve with age, but he needs to mature a little bit, I think he will. 10. Richie Phares-Scott Co. ,watching him improve on a day to day basis leads me to believe that he will step up in the absence of a "star" this year in Georgetown , being 6'6 doesn't hurt.

I think a case could be made that Alex Hall deserves a place on this list.

Fayette Co. is in the midst of a major school construction phase and although the project is on the list, Lafayette's stadium renovation project is way down the list. This is especially true after the Station school construction ran way over budget and the projection that Lexington already needs a new middle school after EJ Hayes was only built a few years ago.

Trinity will blow past Lafayette with ease. Lafayette has been turnover prone all year and they lack a credible rushing attack. Going into the Western Hills game the Generals had under 700(or something close) yards. Lafayette has really good first teams and a very god K/P. Lafayette will give Trinity a game for a quarter or at most a half. They just do not have the depth to win. Mike Harmon is an excellent coach and has built a very competitive program but he just doesn't have the depth of some programs or the over whelming talent (think Henry Clay) to overcome the lack of QUALITY depth. It's ironic, as the Tates Creek buses pulled into Log Mountain in '99 the fans yelled the same things. It felt good leaving with a win. I've seen both teams play in person. Bell Co. is better but if Tates Creek can limit their turnovers (which has been a year long problem) it will be close. Football is all about matchups TC's strength is upfront and that will prevent a blowout in my opinion. Bell Co. 31 Tates Creek 21

Sherwin Farhoudi the backup kicker nailed a 47 yard fg as time expired. Not bad for a guy who hadn't even kicked an XP this season. As usual Ty Sparks was his all state self rushing for 275 yards and four TD's and catching a 16 yard TD pass. For Station Terrell Combs was nothing short of Amazing taking two quick slants to the house both were about 60 yards. This was a very good game. Tates Creek actually threw the ball alot and it showed how effective an offense can be when not so one-dimensional.

I'll go with the man from Fulton City he only has around 70 guys in the school and has done a tremendous job.

I know it is early, but it's fun to project how things will work out. I'll go first: 1st: Tilghman Perry and Co., are tough, coaching changes are tough I would have went with Graves if Hatcher had stayed. 2nd: Madisonville Moore is one of the top posts in the state and Hood seems to be on the rise. Christian Co., lost a ton and UHA had no continuity last season. 3rd: Apollo Tyler Brown makes them the favorite, Owensboro and Muh. North are right behind. 4th: Allen Co.-Scottsville did I really just not pick Warren Central? Jay Starks is a good ball player and ACS had a good 06-07 season. FS has Dalcourt and Bryant and a veteran team, if the big kid develops it will be hard to stop them. 5th: Adair Co. Ballou and Fudge are the regions best 1-2 punch. 6th: PRP if they lose I will be shocked. 7th:Manual both J-Town and Ballard lost a ton. Manual jas good young talent, who need to meld with one another. 8th: Anderson Co. Penny and Co., will be tough to beat, never discount Oldham Co. 9th: Holmes I love the way Henderson plays, Cov. Catholic and Highlands and Boone Co., all look to contend. 10th: Mason Co. Miller, Middleton, Setty...can anyone challenge? 11th:Lex. Catholic They have three big guns and good depth, the loss of Mackey hurts the Cards., Scott Co., Tates Creek, Henry Clay, Bryan Station, Madison Central all look like contenders. 12th:Wayne Co. they return the most but Lincoln will not make things easy. 13th:Cumberland most people think Corbin will win, but I believe in Desmond Johnson and the 'Skins. This will be their last year and they will play inspired. 14th:Hazard JBS has the most talent, but no one navigates the 14th like Al Holland the Bulldogs new coach. Also Campbell, Jones, Olinger and Kidd return as well as a few others. This will be a supercompetitive region and around 5-6 could win. (JBS, Hazard, Breathitt, Buckhorn, PCC, and maybe Knott) 15th:Paintsville Slone and Co., look real good, the Valley is always tough. 16th:Elliott Co. they return the most, but Rose Hill, Ashland and Fairview look like the real deal also.

Lafayette is far from great. Trinity 56 PLD 0. Neither Lafayette nor PLD will present a big challenge. PLD has more talent and speed than Lafayette. Lafayette has an excellent head coach and a nice offensive scheme. Trinity in a big way.
