Nothing formal, but there have been many players who have worked with Dave through their career at Highlands. Many more work with other trainers on their own time to get personal instruction beyond what they get in the way of conditioning after school.

The boosters don't have any current baseball caps in tan, although there might be a visor in tan that you could check in the bookstore at school. There is a local embroidery shop that could put together whatever you want on a cap you bring in, and if you are interested in the name, drop me a PM.

A little harsh, don't you think? Yes, they are losing 3 outstanding seniors, but remember, the 2008 State Champ team started the year with only one returning starter, Adam Dempsey, and still managed to put together a good line. Coach Turner has worked magic before, and I expect him to do it again next season.

Not an expert on these things, but my guess is that they haven't been able to attract some sort of sponsorship to offset the cost of the production. Think about it. The regular season games that are broadcast on ICN-6 have Remke Markets as the major sponsor. So, if they weren't able to find someone willing to step up, then Insight may not want to put it out there. Just a guess.

The above, bolded comments sound something like Dixie. Is this the case? What sort of defensive front does PC run? For that matter, what defensive scheme do they run (3-5-3, 4-4-3)?

You are right, that it is hard. But as Sweep pointed out, the focus and intensity are there! If you look at the season on the whole, then 15 games in 16 weeks can be daunting. But, if you buy into the concept of one game at a time, it is really a manageable task. The coaches do an excellent job making this point, and it shows.

I appreciate your concern, but I don't think it is founded. Not once this season have they been caught "looking ahead" do the next game. They are on a mission, and the preparations are under way as I write. You can't get to Bowling Green (the state game, not the team) unless and until you beat Pulaski County. I am confident that every player and coach knows this!:thumb:

I can't think of any current players who reside in Ohio, and only 1 that I recall in the last few years. And, as Leatherneck points out annually when this discussion comes up, there really isn't a great desire for Ohio kids to want to play football in Kentucky. Ohio has something like 750+ schools playing football to Kentucky's 250, and within the Greater Cincinnati area, there has been a sense that KY doesn't play real football.

I'll reserve any validation on the bolded part until about 10:00 to 10:30 this evening. But, I find it hard to agree with this right now. JC is one dimensional by all accounts (run, then pass when absolutely, positively necessary), and their defense has been reported by numerous sources to be suspect. Contrast that with Ryle, which is at least 'pretty good' on both sides of the ball, and of course St. Xavier, which is, well, St. Xavier. Going back to the win over St. Xavier, one element of that game was the excellent game plan and preparation. That can't be overlooked, and I think it is another dimension that will make this game interesting to watch if you are a Highlands fan. Of course the game is played on the field, but the film study and opponent-specific game plans put players in a position to make plays when they have to. As to the continuing references to giving up 40 to Scott, I believe at least some of that was with JC's JV on the field to get experience, and if it is the case, it makes the 40 less of a relevant factor when comparing the two.

Others may opine differently, but I would say at this point a definite MAYBE. We won't really know until the game is played. Of course, a related question may be whether this is a better game than the St. X game.

I would guess that is what we will see on Friday. I would also add that all 11 will fly to the ball, and I expect to see a lot of blue jerseys in on or around every tackle.
