Ky. boys and girls high school basketball are all lumped into one class (thank God) where small, medium and large schools compete in the same district, region and state tournaments. There is however a small school tourney which is not in discussion here. There are several factors in which to schedule games, they include location, competitive talent, a rivalry and last but not least money that can be generated (Hmmm). In this Wal-Mart era where bigger is percieved to be better the St. Patrick Lady Saints have ruffled a few feathers with a cats pause preseason ranking at 3rd in the 10th. All will be played out on the court soon. I can't wait.

Point guard is a strong point for the Lady Saints with Chelsey Douglas and Brooke Mosler. Interchangable ones and twos.

Outside the Lady Saints 10th regional rivalries the schedule includes Dixie Heights, St. Henry, Cov. Holmes, Ripley (Ohio), Fleming Co. Lewis Co. and Rowan Co. Inside the 10th you never want to leave anyone out.

A little high? As early in an unstarted season that may very well be true. What I do know is that a lot of key players are back from a 20 win season.

The Lady Saints need only to keep improving on fundamentals. The chemisty is there, these young ladys for the most part have been playing together since the third, fourth and fifth grades. Time will tell but I believe this will be a breakout season for them.

St. Patrick is a very young team with 3 seniors, 1 junior and the rest being under classmen. Yet they seem to get better every game. They are very well coached and very athletic. I look forward to good game.

Let the past be. These Lady Saints will be a exciting team to watch this season. Players do win games, good coaches however put there teams in position to win these games through training, discipline and TEACHING! The Lady Saints summer included tournaments in Columbus, Ohio (finished 2nd), Louisville at the Hoops (finished 2nd) and Washington D. C. (4 wins in 5 games) with some help from a Mason Co. and a Cov. Holmes girls. 450 college coaches and scouts where at D. C,. Every parent wants a coach that will go that extra mile for there child. We have one at St. Patrick.

No regular season game exist at this time.

I don't believe last years game has anything to do with it at all. But the question still remains. Why in these budget reduction times are these two schools, less than 3 miles apart not playing in what surely would be a well attended and spirited game? :idunno:

Clark and Mason are both in the top 15. There is not that much difference in these 4 teams.

The 10th final if it is Mason and Clark Counties are two tradition rich programs. Get there early 9th.

Watched them play tonight and was impressed. Very disiplined team. They trap relentlessly out of 2 presses and they like to work the high low against a man to man. It looked like UCLA in the late 60s and early 70s.
