For a number of years it has been Henderson County, Christian County, Hopkinsville and University Heights representing the 2nd Region. Henderson has always has some athletes and has competed at a fairly high level. It should be an interesting game as Henderson will have some quickness.

Ludlow had been in the gym for only a week at full strength for the Carroll scrimmage.

From Preston Highway to I-71 I saw 14 accidents on the the Watterson around 12:30. Every overpass was a sheet of ice. They cancelled the Christmas dance at my son and daughter's school due the threat of black ice when the dance was over. This was done at the urging of the state police.

They scrimmaged Louisville Collegiate last Saturday and they scrimmage Ludlow tomorrow

Excellent ball movement in their scrimmage today, still need to get the football out, several nice tackles today :lol:

The ball was "pooched" in the air but barely traveled 10 yards on the first kick and less than 10 yards for the second kick. Nice job of hitting the player after he signaled a fair catch on the second kick. I would say they qualify as onside kicks. The rest of your pooch kicks traveled as least to the opponents 30 You also failed to mention that the player that committed the personal foul that also led to the 2 unsportsmanlike penalities didn't see the field the rest of the night.

No, they are not allowed to participate until their season is over. I am pretty sure that some of them have gone to the gym on a few Sunday evenings just to shoot and socialize.

Rawlings is paying KHSAA several pennies for the exclusive rights to post season. The contract is for use of Rawlings balls that have their name, the NFHS logo and the KHSAA logo on the balls for the playoffs. Schools can use whatever during the regular season but must use the Rawling in post-season. Class A basketball is the exemption as they have NIKE as a sponsor. Most schools use the Rawlings during the regualr season so there isn't an adjustment period for postseason

I don't know if I would call him the big kid - 5'10" to 6' range, pitched and played third and maybe some first and outfield - throws right - bats left.

A numer of schools when putting in new lights are getting the two poles set in the outfield. The metal poles are higher than the wood ones being replaced and are positioned so that they don't affect the hitting background. No more dark alleys. :thumb:
