Well, the final whistle has blown for the Carroll County Panthers 2008 season and I would just like to say how proud I was to be a CCHS fan this season. You went from a 2-9 team in '07 to 5-6 this season on hard work, effort and discipline alone. You hit the weight room hard last November and never quit. Senior leadership was very apparent this season. One of the biggest changes that I noticed was the overall change in team attitude. Team discipline took a 180 degree turn from last season. In '07 we had at least 3 players ejected for fighting or retaliating. This season, 0. While injuries took their toll this season, unlike in the past, someone was there to step up. Seniors, your leadership, effort and dedication will be sorely missed. You have left your mark on this program and we are deeply grateful.

 

The '09 season and beyond looks bright. Continued hard work in the weight room, self and team discipline. and coachability is a must. I, for one, am very excited about the next several years of talent that I see coming up through the ranks. The coaching staff is solid and Coach Weedman is working very hard to build a solid program. Carroll County, be ready to back an exciting football program that is only going to keep getting better. It's here to stay. Go Panthers!!!:fight:

It appeared that there was significant leadership from the Seniors. How many natural leaders are in this Junior class/

The juniors have some very good players that will lead this team next season. DC Craig, who is going to be a beast at linebacker next season, should step into the leader role next season, along with Andy Sissenstein, Andy Little and others. The sophomore class is loaded. Zack Wise, Josiah Nichols, Tyler Grant, Ethan Stewart and several others (this class has about 17-18 in it) have the potential to be outstanding. A couple of freshmen contributed this season. Rowdy Yates was a starter on the OL and Carson Butcher saw significant action at RB. The future is very bright.:thumb:
