Bigger margin of victory than I expected on this one. Thought Trimble would win but it looks like they were all over Owen. Who did the damage for the Raiders in this one?

This is tough matchup. Owen is a big ball club and has some talented players. Those running backs could be a problem for Trimble's defense. Trimble has really been mixing things up much better and utilizing a lot of players. If Trimble can stay away from the turnovers that have really hurt them in a couple of their losses they should pull out the victory. This could be another big stepping stone for Trimble moving into the playoffs and gaining momentum after the loss of Bird. They apparently really stepped up last week despite being against an overmatched Bracken Co. team.

Carroll. Welch & Rose should have big games!

I have not seen Owen County play. But, I will have to go with Carroll County, despite Rose not being 100% he is still a beast. Carroll's defense has been pretty good all year long against some good competition. Welch is a very talented ball player also, especially on kick returns. Owen seems to have struggled offensively based on scores and Carroll has managed points in most games. Carroll by 14

I would say "Yes". Louisville paper had him in an article last week as second in the state with over 1,000 yards through 4 games.:walk:

Eminence has been around forever. They 1) Have some very good athletes & 2) in the past have played weak schedules, not competing in Districts and 8 man. Trimble has been back in varsity for 10 years now, had been very low with 27? game losing streak. New coach and kids that have heart and ability have turned that around in the last 3 years. Gallatin has done an outstanding job. Many small schools should be able to take from their footprint on athletics. Some how their coaches seem to get along and allow kids to play all the sports and not beg them to "specialize". What a wonderful concept. Administration is behind them 110% from Board Office down and that makes a world of difference. Super facilities also.

Gallatin by at least 4 touchdowns.

I believe Evangel is having trouble with numbers to field a complete team.

Wildcats keep motoring along. At home on a Saturday afternoon will help give them an edge.

Glad to hear Sullivan is OK. That was a nasty looking incident. Both teams seemed to play very hard tonight. But, both teams had plenty of mistakes also. Carroll needs to fix the shotgun & punt snapping problem as that has contributed greatly in all their losses. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

Turnovers will decide this one! Both teams coming off tough losses (in different aspects) so if one is still struggling off of last week it will play a factor also. Sounds pretty evenly matched though.

And a very good linebacker. Sounds like he would have made a big difference against the physical Spencer Co. back. He is as tough nosed and physical as they come.

They did at that! They actually had a passing game against Henry too:sssh: Peters, Sullivan and Hawkes are all threats when they have the pigskin in their hands. Bird still had a nice game rushing the ball with over 150 yards. It must be a shame when people think you didn't have a good game because you did rush for 300+:scared:

I am sure FHS coaching staff can make some changes to confuse a little bit, can't they? Or throw in something a little different? If FHS can execute that shouldn't matter. Many very good teams have been based on the simple fact that "you know what we are going to do, now stop us". Sounds like this could apply in this game.

Bold is so true. Sometimes less is better. If Bracken can get pressure on Eminence and maintain some of Eminence's athletes they should have a shot. But I will have to go with the Warriors in this one because of their athletes.

This is sounding like a matchup for the ages! It is sounding as if either team can win and it all depends on if FC can bottle FHS' speed. Good luck to both teams.

Owen County typically has players playing both ways don't they? If they have an "athlete" I don't see how they could keep from playing him on both sides of the ball. They just don't seem to have that many kids and good players to have too many go one way. I haven't seen them this year to know about this year and is just my opinion on years past. I see Grant County winning this. Coach Davis does a great job up there.

Owen appears to be struggling! Can they right the ship and get things going? They are obviously have problems scoring and you need to score to win, despite the phrase "Defense wins championships".

Trimble's Offensive line has been great most of the time, with big rushing totals in all games. They won't be able to take off any plays against Gallatin though. Defensively Trimble's line can be big or small. Don't they play a 135 pounder on their d-line? In the end I don't see Gallatin stopping the rushing attack the Raiders have displayed this year. Beginning to spread the ball a little better despite Bird getting gaudy numbers.

Ludlow lost the turnover battle this week and thus the game apparently. Seems like first two weeks (wins) the turnovers went in their favor and they were able to capitalize. Good win for Bellevue and Coach Eckstein!!!

Over 300 for second time this year? How close is he to 1,000 for the year already? Was it all Bird Ball again? Or did they get anyone else involved?
