I heard the coach was looking for more intensity out of the braves this week. I say the braves continue to improve and make a statement to their coach that they are a intense bunch of kids ready to compete at a high level.

I'm pulling for Owen, but Grant has some pretty good looking kids. Tough to call, but I will say Owen gets the win on a two point conversion 8-6. Battle of wills in this one.

Today at practice, Tyler Pruitt ran the offense.

Yes, very dissapointed. I don't think it's the QB's fault.

What # is the Pruitt?

Pruitt........isn't he #7?? He played a little QB last week at Henry I do believe. Didn't do a bad job and moved the ball down the field well but it was just too late for Owen. What about the QB from Grant? He seems to be pretty mobile and agile.

#7. He's quicker than Cox, but only half the arm. He plays a tough DB. Their defense would hurt if he only played QB.

He did throw 3 INT's in the short time he was in.

Is the Cox kid playing another position or just riding the pine. Do you think that Owen can handle the power running game and the versitle QB for Grant?

Cox actually played JV today against Henry.

I think they do OK against the power running, but they don't pursue QB's to well. As for Cox and Pruitt, I don't know what they'll do come friday.

It will be interesting to see how both teams respond to coming off loses and I believe the team that does not make the mistakes will win and could win big.

That does pose a good question about Cox. Does he really know any other positions other than QB? What position did he play in the JV game and how'd he look? Also, if the Pruitt kid plays offense and offense only who will fill in that spot on the defensive side of the ball?

Owen County typically has players playing both ways don't they? If they have an "athlete" I don't see how they could keep from playing him on both sides of the ball. They just don't seem to have that many kids and good players to have too many go one way. I haven't seen them this year to know about this year and is just my opinion on years past.

I see Grant County winning this. Coach Davis does a great job up there.
