Trimble County 36 Carroll County 23

Featured Replies

Once again Carroll County shoots themselves in the foot with bad snaps, penalties and allowing just way too many big plays. It was nice to see Rose back out there although he still isn't 100%. Trimble deserved the win. They obviously outplayed them from start to finish.

Trimble looked good on offense, still need to step up just a little on defense, losing sullivan hurt, hope he is not hurt bad and will bounce back soon.

I agree with your offense/defense comment.

Sullivan is fine. He has already been released from the hospital.

That is great news!!!:thumb:

I do want to give props to two kids tonight. Justin Hawkes and Corey Jones were both phenomenal on defense tonight. Corey had 8 total tackles (and some nice pancake blocks!) and Justin Hawkes had 9 solo tackles. Hawkes is starting to get some looks from some interested colleges.

Glad to hear Larry is fine

True Blue, can you tell me how many yards bird had.

Statisticians on the sidelines recorded right at 200 for Bird.

GREAT TO HEAR THAT THE SULLIVAN KID IS OK! HE WAS HAVING A NICE GAME UP TO THAT POINT!

I believe the game was much more competitive than people thought it was going to be.

Like to say great job O-line, don't think a defender made it up the middle, also would like to say great job coach Poynter mixed it up and showed alot of the non-believers

Let me add that Welch had a heck of a game!!!! He was most of the reason that the game was closer than most thought it would be. :thumb:

I would be glad to help. We are making the same mistakes that we made back during our pre-season scrimmages. Here are my suggestions:

1) D-BACKS: HOW MANY WAYS ARE THERE TO SAY THIS? DO NOT LET ANYONE BEHIND YOU.

2) Q-BACK: DO NOT CONTINUE TO THROW INTO DOUBLE AND TRIPLE COVERAGE.

3) CENTER: YOUR FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS--MAKE A GOOD SNAP. THE PLAY CAN'T START UNLESS THIS HAPPENS.

4) RUNNING BACKS: HOLD ON TO THE BALL.

5) O-LINE: I REALIZE WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS INJURIES THIS SEASON AND THEREFORE NOT MUCH CONTINUITY BUT WE HAVE TO START OPENING UP SOME HOLES ON THE INTERIOR. EVERYBODY ON THE PLANET KNOWS WE ARE EITHER GOING TO RUN SOME KIND OF SWEEP OR A PASS.

6) DEFENSE: EVERYONE. HIT AND WRAP!!! TRYING TO JUST KNOCK SOMEONE DOWN DOESN'T WORK 90% OF THE TIME.

7) CORNERS: ARE WE READING ANY KEYS? HOW DO WE CONTINUOUSLY GET BURNED LONG?

I could go on but I'll stop there. It is frustrating to watch when you know we have quality athletes (and plenty of them). You guys are not this bad and seeing you at 0-5 at this point of the season is unreal. Take care of business. Focus on your assignments on every single play. Do your job on every single play. Most of all: START GETTING AFTER PEOPLE AND STOP MAKING SILLY MISTAKES.

GO PANTHERS!!!
