Dont mean to stir up the EC fanbase but all these post get a little ridiculous. They did not seem to have this effect on Justice in the ALL A. :sssh:

Being an SV fan I got sick when I saw this poll. Cantrells ratings put alot of emphasis on margin of victory and the 15th being down has a lot to do with this. I think we all know Holmes is the favorite and then there is a bout 3 or 4 more teams with a good shot at winnning it. I can promise you one thing SV's players are trying to make school history by winning their first state tournament game and that is all they are focused on at this point. :thumb:

Justice attended the two elite camps at UK last summer. And also at Florida word was he had his way Jai Lucas when his team played some of the Florida team. I guess Im one of the only SV people on this board and I cannot say enough about this kids game. You want to talk about basketball IQ and playing heads up he has it all. A lot of the people around the state are basing their opinion on the ALL A Classic and that was his poorest shooting streak of year. He is shooting over 40 % from the 3 point line. At the beginning of his junior season I still had my doubts if he could play in a major conference but after watching most of his games this season he has improved in every part of the game. I hate to put so many high expectations on a kid but I think he may be up to the challenge.

I like this.....If SV could have the ball bounce their way and do well in the tourney I think E. Justice's stock will rise. Could Sanford and Justice be better for Ky for the next 5 years than Liggins and Vilarano?

81 and 82 watching Todd May and the Virgie Eagles.

Its hard to make predictions but I think you will be impressed with the way Justice handles the basketball. Im not sure he has a game this year where he has committed over 1 or 2 turnovers. I think he just had 3 the entire All A classic. Again I have all the repsect in the world for Masons program and tradition. One thing for sure whether it is MC or SV...a good team will take an early exit on Thursday.

I love this matchup! Were any of guys at the Mason county vs Virgie game in...not sure if it was 81 0r 82. Set the state tournament attendance record. if Im not mistaken Mason came into the game undefeated. Back here in Shelby Valley this game is stirring up some old state tourney memories. I will take SV in a nailbiter. A few storylines to watch.....How does SV shoot free throws?..........How much does state tourney experience help out Mason?.........How much will Mason press? If alot look for Elisha Justice to have a monster game. SV 61 MC 58

Nobody in the 15th has the gaurds to keep up with Valley. But that is why they play the games.

Shelby Valley I think has won 55 straight. This is going to be their second consecutive senior class to graduate without a home loss.

At least in Cantrells Ratings EC and SV will stay at the top because of margin of victory.

There a few teams in the state that give EC great matchup problems and Shelby Valley is one of them.

Sometimes its hard to tell in these EC threads. :D Im for you guys in both games for one it will make SV's victory even look better. I have never been to game at EC but it would not surprise me for them to win both games at home. Ive not seen Ballard play but I thought the key for SV was Justice handling the ball and not making turnovers. Good Luck :thumb:

These are useless numbers. Elliot County has nice players and coming from a small community myself I can appreciate the fans excitement but these stats mean nothing when the ball is thrown up. This is the same thinking that made you pick EC over Shelby Valley by 30. :eek:

I agree with you for the most part. I would have rather seen SV in a tournament in Lexington or Louisville rather than Florida over the holiday break. But dont forget that last year this same group of players beat Male, took Jtown to the wire on Jtowns home floor, this year they beat Paul BLazer by 43(I know they are down), beat HENRY CLAY by 36 and that could have been 50 they completely dominated, beat Walton GA by 25 and then beat Elliot County and Bardstown in the ALL A. Their opening game was supposed to be against Dunbar but was cancelled due to weather. Plus the teams they played in Florida. I agree with you in that I would love to see them play some of those top 3 or 4 teams also but I do believe that Booher has tried to strengthen their schedule the last couple of years. Not trying to say that they are #1 but I do think they are in the top 5 or 6. JMO
