Comparing State Polls

Featured Replies

Here is the top 10 from six polls. All are current. Just wondered what everyone thinks. My thoughts are that the computer polls become more accurate as the season progresses. It's interesting in the light of recent developments to take note that Boone Co. is already listed in the top ten of four poles.

Obviously I can't count, make that Boone County is already listed top ten in 5 polls. Only Bluegrasspreps did not have Boone County in the top ten and barring a loss they should make top ten there too.

I see GRC has moved up in some polls after beating Mason Co. After the very convincing win over Clay Co last night , look for them to move up more next week. Will be interesting to see how much Mason Co. falls in the polls after losing to GRC and Elliott Co.

Maybe the computer polls are a little more accurate than people like to think?

Regardless of what happens from here on, Boone should at least for now move into the top 10 in all polls after this win.

Not sure if Boone's schedule is that tough, there are alot of wins that the JV team could have gotten. Any thoughts??

Boone and Corbin Counties belong in the top ten IMO.

If you combine all the polls, and assign a number to each ranking, with number one in each poll receiving a 10, and number two in each poll receiving a 9, and so on, this is what you get:

1. Scott County 58

2. Holmes 50

3. Eastern 48

4. Ballard 38

5. Elliott County 36

6. J-Town 33

7. Bryan Station 17

8. Shelby Valley 14

8. Mason County 14

10. Boone County 11

12. Lexington Catholic 5

13. Corbin 3

13. GRC 3

Nice work Ram. I think those rankings will change after last nights games and new polls come out. I would more Corbin, Boone Co, Clark Co, and Jtown up and move Holmes, Ballard, Mason Co down.

Mason Co in the top 10 in the state?????????????????????/////:confused:

If you look at the calpreps and other computer polls, they have had Boone in the top 7-8 most of the year, and their strength-of-schedule rating ompares favorably with most other teams in the top 10. Other than Cooper, Walton Verona, and Simon Kenton who have been having down seasons, I think Boone has mostly had opponents with good records.

I wonder when BGP will put Boone in their top 20? Only poll not to have them ranked at all.

I personally think the BGP poll is most accurate but can't agree with Boone not being in the top 10-15.

Hmm...maybe that loss to Boone wasn't as bad as some were making it out to be.......
