I think that's how the top 5 will end at the end of the year...:sssh::thumb:

It only makes sense that the computer rankings will get more accurate as the season plays out because it will have more data to compare.

Eta, who do predict will make it out of the 7th region?

The one at the top has stayed constant in my mind

:walk:

1 Scott Co. 11th

2 Holmes 9th

3 Eastern 7th

4 Ballard 7th

5 J-town 7th

6 Bryan Station 11th

7 Shelby Valley 15th

8 Lexington Catholic 11th

9 Mason Co. 10th

10 Elliott Co. 16th

Food for thought--> who won't make it to state," with regions to right of school". If you go to 20 or 25 deep on the polls. 2 - 3 regions make up 66% of the top 25. Look how many just has 1 in polls. :idunno: So half of the better teams in the state won't be in the sweet 16 because of the powerhouses of regions they are in.

I think it's going to be J'town. They beat Eastern comfortably and have lost to Ballard by a combined 7 points. I think they get over the hump come March. I don't see Eastern being able to beat both Ballard and J'town or Ballard being able to beat both Eastern and J'town to make it out of the region.

That's in any of the polls. :thumb:

Not a laughing matter, EC is real good. Just the rest of the teams are not in the 16th.:laugh::laugh:

Maybe I'm not understanding your posting. Is this your combination of the polls or your prediction of the rankings based on the polls?:idunno:

It was just food for thought. There will be a lot of good teams in the state that are in very tough regions. 2 of them have about 4-6 teams a peice in the top 25. So they won't make it to Rupp. I slightly went off the thread.

It's a shame, kind of reminds you of the argument that has crept up the last two seasons in College Football. Several called for a Texas/OU rematch-although Florida would have handled both :thumb:-and in 2007, many argued Georgia and LSU should have met for the MNC and had Dennis Dixon been healthy, possibly a USC/Oregon rematch.

The 7th and 11th have 6 or 7 teams in the top ten and all have a legitimate shot to win the state, and yet only 2 will make. Maybe a BCS Formula for the Sweet 16 :ohbrother:
