I've seen every game of J.T.'s this year and he was impressive in all. I am a Lewis Co. fan so I tend to favor the boys from Lewis Co, but no matter where there from this is some kind of feat. Mr. Britt is also attempting to lead the state in receiving yards a game. He was third going into last nights game but I'm guessing he had well over 200 yards which will make him close. Great season to J.T. and give credit to his quarterback and coaches who kept the boys playing hard and lead to this great accomplishment.

True, I would take home field advatage over a Greenup Co. win but I just thought I would point that out.

Haha... I find it funny that Mason lost last week going for two in OT but stops Greenup this week. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

Final. Lewis gets first win but even bigger story is J.T. Britt (24 Lewis Co. receiver) has 17 catches which I believe puts him in first for state single season receptions. Maybe someone else could confirm but pretty sure. Both teams played hard but Lewis had to much offense for Bracken. Great game boys!:dancingpa

As far as support, I would have to say the fans that attend the games of the winless teams. If you travel to watch your team even though they are large underdogs, that is being a loyal fan.

The Lewis Co. fans would love to see a win. Nobody plays harder then these boys and this week, there efforts will pay off. Good Luck Boys!:thumb:

Once again, the elementary schools did have some kind of JFL league. I dont know what kind of success the program had, but it gets the younger kids interested in football. And I believe the middle schools program numbers were up. Lets hope the middle schoolers stick with it through high school, and are willing to work as Coach Combs expects them to. And for the boys who lasted this season, you have to respect what they have done. Practices are difficult when half of your coaches are lined up on the other side of the ball from you. I even think they occasionally bring some parents in to have enough at practice. My respect goes out to them, the coaches, and the fans. And just maybe we can win one this week for the seniors.

LC? (Lawrence Co?) How did the officials affect the game?

I've not seen Greenup Co. play, but nobody has held Lewis Co. to only 7 points. Greenup likely wins big, but all 19 players for Lewis Co. will come out and play hard. First half is close, but Greenup pulls away in the end. 56-26

Lewis doesnt lack experience nor shooting. Size, however, they definitely lack. They have 8 seniors and most of them played a considerable amount last year including at Morehead. They also have a very talented junior in Frankie Witten and some good sophmores in Terence Smith and Kurt Cropper.

no doubt russells offense looked very impresive but there defense was lacking motivation. first game of russells i seen this year but im sure they will come to play against other teams. britt (# 24) had over 100 yards receivng again for lewis and he was 3rd in the state as of this morning in receiving yards. russell will be tough to stop. boys for lewis who have stuck with it have a lot of heart. good luck to both teams.

Lewis Co. still lacks size! there guard play should be excellent considering they can rotate a number of guys to play the 1 & 2 spots. team should be very quick and athletic will just have to work hard on the boards and limit turnovers.

It is official Hampton, TURNED DOWN the greenup job. He called all the players in today and told them.

ballard is way to deep and i jus dont think the cards can handle that. GRC plays 7 players the entire game. They need to get the ball to jonees more because i jus dont think theres another big man in the state that can play with him when hes on. Good luck to the cards hope you win

watched both team play last night, granted elliot can run the floor but i dont think they can hang with the dragons. Dragons go 8 or 9 deep and sub in and out alot more than elliot does that will hurt them.

Probably the worst officiated game ive seen all year. one play knowles was shooting a three threw it backward past the half court line, ran it down grabbed it and was going to hand it to the ref and they didnt even call backcourt vioaltion. another play towards the end knowles was on a run out, ball bounces high and out he jumps throws it back bounces out of bounds before it hits scott and it stays with clark co. Awful both ways i must say. Knowles played a great game as did miller. I didnt think knowles was that good, at the end of the third i think it was he pulled up from about half court set his feet and all and hit the three amazing shot. Congrats to clark co. Mason will be back.

The refs were bad but they were bad both ways. The better team won and thats all you can say. It will be hard for anybody in the region to stop Russell when they play defense like they did. Those girls get after the ball and find ways to win even with a lot of turnovers.
