At Montgomery Co.?

Lewis Co. always seems to shoot better from the outside at home and they will have to be hitting from there because they wont be able to get many shots off in the paint with Pettit in their. If Lewis Co. can get him in foul trouble early, they have a very good chance of winning. Otherwise, he could have 40 poinsts and 30 rebounds against them. They always play hard at home, maybe need to look to push the tempo and wear them down. Lewis Co. by 6.

Mason Co. made free throws down the stretch where Madison Central struggled. I think they were 3-11 in the fourth quarter.

Witten can be one of the best shooters in the region, but at times he can be the worse. He is never afraid to shoot which can be a good thing when your hitting but you have to know when your not making shots. Frankie is a very good player but sometimes needs to realize he's struggling and take a break at halftime or in a timeout to figure out whats wrong.

Haha yeah Cameron Ruckel put on a show. His older brother is in the sixth grade playing seventh grade ball. They both will be good ball players with their dad coaching them. Back to the thread, Smiths wrist is sore but not broken. He sit out of the game because he was sick and not because of his wrist. He was back at school yesterday so hopefully be a go for Friday.

I thought so as well. I originally heard he was only out (not dressing) for 5 games. He dressed the other night against HC. Maybe Coach O'Hearn was just giving him a little extra punishing or maybe he still not supposed to play. But I cant imagine he would be dressing if he was suspended.

I think it looks better with the jersey tucked in. Plus, as long as jerseys are on some people, it would make it easier to move.

Friday, Feb. 1st. Both teams coming off a loss. Haven't gotten the chance to see Morgan Co. play. From what I have read, they have a very solid ball team this year. I have seen two different Lewis Co. teams. They have either created turnovers and shot lights out or turned the ball over and shot below 30%. I'm thinking this will be a good ballgame to watch this weekend. Interested to hear others opinions.

Mason boys by 37 and Rowan girls by 6. Will Barner be playing this game? I know he dressed for the Henry Clay game but didnt play.

Lewis Co. had a hard time knocking down shots period. 40 for Bourbon Co. altered a lot of shots but Lewis Co. missed a lot of open looks that they usually dont miss at home. The starting point guard for Lewis Co. was sick which hurt the team but you cant expect to beat teams shooting less then 50% from the line and probably only 30% from the field. Bourbon Co. did a good job protecting the ball and finishing on layups. Next game at Morgan Co. Must shoot better from the stripe and the field.

Greenup has had trouble with coaches lately. Hicks left last year, they try to get Hampton from Lewis Co. during the off-season, he tell's his ball players he is going then comes back the same day and says he's not, Leach takes over, and leaves half-way through the season. Shouldn't the interim head coach this year be given a chance next year to start all over and incorporate his way of playing?

There isnt a usual starting five for Lewis Co. I cant remember a time this season where they have had the same starting five 2 games in a row. They have 11 players that see good minutes just about every game and the starters depend on who has performed well in practice and previous games. Hampton is trying to find a good mix for the tournament.

He has a bruised wrist and will hopefully only be out for a week. His wrist is swollen quite a bit but will be back.

Lewis Co. playsed well but not great. Their defense caused a lot of problems for Russell. Russell is still a very young team and their really going to struggle within the region. Back to back wins for the Lions, maybe they can build a little momentum throughout the rest of the season and into the post season.

I would think Nick Anderson for St. Pat should make the list ahead of the King brothers. He's been better in the couple games i've seen of both teams.

By the way congrats to Rose Hill. And im going to say this thread gets out of hand. 24 posts in 10 minutes.

I only listened to the last four minutes of the game but it sounded like Elliott Co. was really struggling to make shots. I would assume they had trouble all night considering they only scored 55?

Lewis Co. was 22 points better last night. Granted, anything can happen on any given day, I would expect a better ball game out of Greenup Co. come districts at Greenup Co.

Seems as if Greenup Co. still had more adversity to overcome. I thought Lewis Co. had the better team, but 22 points better was suprising. Greenup Co. has some good players but have had to overcome many problems this year. Lewis Co. shot the ball extremly well and caused some problems with their defense. Good district win for Lewis Co. Maybe Greenup Co. can keep this coach long enough to learn his style of play.

Other then the fact that Greenup Co. has been the more dominant team in previous years, im confused on why people think Greenup Co. SHOULD win. After all the adversity Greenup Co. has faced this year, im gonna take Lewis Co. by 16.

Interested to hear what people think. Both teams seem to be struggling this year. Game is Friday, 1/18 at Lewis Co.
