Gallatin Co. has won 13 games but have only beaten one team that has a winning record (Owen Co. twice). NCC and Holy Cross may not have the record that Gallatin does but I believe they play a tougher schedule. That's why I say both of these two teams are ahead of Gallatin. To start this post I have to laugh at your tougher schedule post, I won't get into it but take a look at GC's schedule, it is probably one of the top 10 hardest A schedules in the state. On a quote unquote neutral court Gallatin beat Newport by whatever they wanted to, but in reality close to 20. Newport beats a supposed good NCC team by 15 something tells me GC would hold their own against NCC. This being said the Lit rating last year had GC an underdog to LCA we know what happened there. They were a double digit underdog to eventual state champion Bishop Brossart and lost by 1 in a game that they probably should have won. (Had the ball with 12 seconds to go down 1) Take what you want from this thread GC is under rated but to my knowledge no one has punched a ticket to Richmond yet.

There are more than just fouls called that the officials have control over. I was there and in my opinion it was the worst officiated game I have seen this year. The calls were equally bad on both ends of the floor with what seemed to be several calls that were just made up to call something, ie...the two walk calls while players were dribbling. It was a weird night and Ryle played through it and got a tough win.

I would have to agree with this statement papabeaver. I will be the first to say maybe I went overboard on coach Forrest, I still think he is a great coach and will have his team ready come tourney time. However there are others who don't seem to remember what they posted before some of these big games were played.

Wow with Oldham getting beat by South, Anderson over Shelby, Owen over Walton, and Gallatin beating Simon Kenton who knows what is going to happen.

Coach Roberts and her staff do a great job, keep up the good work Lady Cats.

I have seen the new sports facilities I just hope Walton's excellent academic reputation is not ruined so a few can play sports.

I know what your saying but does Walton gurantee a trip to Harvard? Sandlin lives in Williamstown a small school with a good coach, it just seems strange to me that so many girls live out of district and play ball. If you tell me that there are as many out of district kids not playing sports coming to Walton for strictly academics I would understand this a little more I guess.

Doesn't it say best young coaches? I am not taking anything away from some of the coaches named but I thought this thread was for up and coming young coaches. Holly Roberts from Gallatin County will be one of the up and coming young coaches in Ky.

The thing about the Enquire you don't get is Gallatin Co. is Northern Kentucky when something bad happens or test scores come out. The funny thing is with test scores on the rise that doesn't get covered anymore. Gallatin County in case some people don't realize is the next County down from Boone County. A good deal of the people from Gallatin work in Northern Ky/Cinn. area. A majority of the people go to Northern Ky. for their entertainment and shopping. If in this day an age when retailers are scrambbling for every last dollar you would think that those same advertisers would want Gallatin included. If I am not mistaken advertisements for all the sales come in every paper delivered to Gallatin County. If these advertisers were told that a portion of their advertising dollars were being sent to a dissatisfied group of consumers I bet Mr. Ernst would find a way to squeeze in some Gallatin Co. sports. I know this may sound petty but at one time we were considered Northern Ky. our stats were in the paper and there was some coverage, now when we even play a school from Northern Kentucky that game is not even put in the schedule of games for the night. In all reallity I hate the fact that a good team doesn't get the coverage it deserves because of the bias of a few people who do not have a clue.

I agree madman, theoldguy must come from a bigger school or maybe even a private school who has never had to face overwhelming odds just to win a district championship let alone a regional or even a state one.
