Those were two nice dunks. I saw Teague have a nice dunk against South Laurel and heard he had another one against Lynn Camp. It's good to see some of the players out of the 13th get up above the rim, that always seems to get a game going.

I thought that this was a Williamsburg/Pineville thread not a Corbin/Pineville thread. The game is over. Sounds like both teams gave it their all. Move on and get ready for the next game.

Isn't this thread about the Williamsburg and Corbin GAME not much had been said about that. The game has little to do with Williamsburg football or the fact of jared barton leaving the team.

What will happen if things don't go as the family has planned with baseball and football? Will he quit those also? There are alot of older, more experienced players in front of him that have put their time in. As far as basketball is concerned, I think a little patience should have been exercised and maybe by the end of the season he could have been a regular starter. Coach Robinson treated him fairly.

I don't understand what you mean by "politics". What happens if these "politics" occur in baseball and football? Will he quit those also?

Guard play tonight killed the Burg they werent breaking the press at all and the Campers were getting open 3's all night and Lynn Camp took advantage of the open looks.

I think Williamsburg will suprise alot of people this year, I watched them against a good knox central team and i was impressed. I think they will be a Top 10 team by the end of the season.

I cant help but think that football will hurt Pettit and Taylor to a certian degree because of the conditioning that basketball demands is completely different than football. From what I have seen the starters will be Taylor, Cunningham, Teague, Pettit, and I dont know who the 5th spot will be.

How does everyone see Williamsburg finishing in the tough 50th district??

I talked to the Teague kids parents and they said he was a solid 6'7 but he is kinda skinny. I would agree with crawford bein the best in the region followed by Johnson.

Well with another season gettin ready to start and some summer games played who looks to the the top teams and players in the 50th district. Who will have a breakout season, does the underdog have a chance, how will south look without the BIG 3. So many questions left unanswered???:confused:

You hit the nail right on the head, VolFan782000. Too may mistakes and too many missed opportunities for the Jackets tonight. It may be time for their coaches to sit down and take a look at a better plan because the one that they have now is not working. Positions are not being played by the best players which is evident from the growing number of errors recently. Root plays well both defensively and offensively, Witt and Shelley pitch well and hit, the Moses boys and Teague are hitting good solid hits and getting RBI's but beyond that this team needs some serious adjustments to be made if they are going to have a chance in the Sectionals on Friday.

Show a little respect for other people's opinions, Les. You don't have to agree with everyone but you could be more respectful with those you disagree with. Age does make a difference in most things, especially physical and mental maturity, which is very important in sports.
