  1. Sounds like a great game. Hope Whitley can pull out the road win.
  2. Wow, the Tigers laid the lumber to LC. The Cats schedule sure does not get any easier the next couple of weeks, tough 3 game start for LC. Clay, Whitley Co. and then Lex. Christian I believe.
  3. I would guess you are talking about Bobby Keith and the last I heard he is not a ghost. Why would he not be far behind Hicks?:idunno:
  4. Must not want you to know:popcorn: Hope I'm wrong Clay 28 LC 12
  5. How did LC look Friday vs M'boro and Jackson Co. the only person I talked to thought they did not do well at all.
  6. If that happend would Corbin be in the same district will Bell Co. and Knox Central?
  7. Should be a great day of basketball, just curious was anything ever decided about the regional tournement being held at the arena?
  8. Stranger things have happened, you may be suprised.
  9. IMO Corbin lost a couple of their key players and will be hard pressed to repeat last years success. Whitley Co. may be the up and coming team this year in the 13th.
  10. Why in the world would he? The powers to be didn't want him a month or so ago why would they now? I have never heard of someone having to interview for a job they just left, that makes no sense. IMO, Coach Elam may or may not have been done wrong before but I would think he needs to move on. Patterson would be in way over his head if they went that route. Big difference in playing basketball and coaching it with success.
  11. 1. Is the Pineville job open? 2. I agree it would be much easier for Evans if Elam went somewhere else. 3. You are right on this I would think they have alot of the same actions when coaching.
  12. I don't think it was ever a done deal for Evans, he may well end up with the job and do great . Any names on the five that applied.
  13. Barbourville, over the years has benefited greatly from getting KC players, LC seems to be able to get their share of KC players as well these days. With the size and returning players LC has coming back they would be my pick for the 10th spot.
  14. Thanks I thought it may be a newspaper or what ever vote.
  15. Sounds like Akins should have been on the all-star team, how was this team chosen? Congrats to the players who made the team, does Shirer also play volleyball? If she is the one I'm thinking of she is one super athlete.
  16. Where have all the sophomores and players in general gone, 45 is a workable number of players, but leaves no room for injuries.
  17. West has helped the Redhounds alot since he has been there, what if he did leave and won a region as a head coach elsewhere, that would be cool for any current assistant coach. He may not really be in the running for the KC job, don't really know, but he would do as well or better than the last few years, I would guess.
  18. Les I would have thought for sure you would know were West has been:idunno:. I remember he had some success at W'burg, not at LC long, one or two years maybe. I was in Barbourville Monday and heard the names I listed. If Combs were to get this job Evans may be able to go back to his old job at Union, just a thought.
  19. I don't think this is the case at all, I'm 98% sure Evans would have already taken the job if it was his to take. I have heard three other names the last couple of days, Kelly Combs (current Union College coach), Brent West (current Corbin asst.) and one that is a puzzle to me, Tony Patterson (long ago KC player). To my knowledge he has never coached anywhere and does not teach either. To his credit he was a really good player back in the 80's. Also a couple of assistant coaches from Laurel Co. names are floating around.
  20. May be wrong, but I don't see that happing at KC and coach as well.
  21. It would be my guess there are alot of theses coaches (football and basketball) that feel this way, they just don't come out and say it in public.
  22. Well, wonder were Josh will go for spring break? He will already be at the beach! Sounds like a great place to go to school and play ball.
  23. Bell made a mistake letting him go does KC they have a teaching position for they could open for him?
  24. IMO it is really open and the Supt. will have a large say in who gets it. Maybe they will bring back Bill Swafford from retirement, he has came back to coach at least 2 times before. Evans would be the logical choice because he already teaches in Knox Co. and had middle school sucess with most of the current players, and has years of college coaching experience, but that county dosen't always use common sense.
  25. From IM4's tone they must somewhat. Players who can be good at more than one sport have hard decisions to make sometimes.
