  1. No way!! As a 10th region fan all we did was play as a warm up to the 9th region game. Yes the Arena is top of the line and very impressive. But the environment for the 10th region game was not that great. The crowd wasn't big either, there have been a lot bigger crowds to witness a 10th region final game. Now the 9th regoin game was impressive. The arena wasn't full but had a pretty good crowd and the environment was great. I think the 9th region should be played there every year but I just don't think its for the 10th region. Can't be playing the 10th region finals at 6 and pretty much being a warm up for the 9th region.
  2. Mason Co. will win this one by 6. 62-56
  3. How much does the arena hold? But in this one I look for Holmes to squeak out a 3 point win.
  4. Any updates on T. Knipp? Whether Elliott wins by 35 or 20 will depend on if he plays or not. They can win the region without him but they will need a 100% T. Knipp once they get to Rupp.
  5. Does anybody have any details on Knipp? I know it was his ankle but how serious is it?? Hopefully it isn't bad and he can play Monday!!
  6. Does anybody have a radio link for this game?
  7. I think Holmes is a very good team but I don't care how good their defense is playing they will need to at least score in the 60s to make a run at the state title. Scoring 40 points a game will not get it done.
  8. Maybe if any of the Mason students show up. The support hasn't been very good at all this year.
  9. You should see Josh Harris and Tyler Black on the football field. They made major contributions to the varsity this year as freshman. Both are still pretty good in basketball though, but not sure if Harris will play all 4 years.
  10. One of the best sophmores would be Timmy Knipp. He might have the most upside out of any player I have seen in the state this year. He can absolutely do it all.
  11. I could see Vee Sanford taking over this tournament.
  12. Chris Harrison from Trinity would have to be one of the best Freshmans in the state.
  13. Im not a Mason fan but the BOK is fine, an excellent arena. I was very pleased with it when I attented the Holmes vs Scott Co. game. I just feel like the Fieldhouse is the place for the 10th region. It is about tradition, if you grew up as a 10th regoin fan and had been to it every year then you should understand. I can see where the fans of different teams could have arguments and they are all understood. Every place will have negatives and positives but to me the Fieldhouse easily has the least amount of negatives. This is the last thing I am saying about this argument though because it can be argued about for days like it previously has been.
  14. Mason will take care of business and win by about 14.
  15. Elliott by as many as they want!!! I don't see anybody in this tournament stopping them from getting to Rupp. The Dallas Cowboys are America's Team but the Elliott County Lions are Kentucky's Team!!!!
  16. If I wait til Tuesday and purchase the tickets then might not have a good seat. The drive doesn't bother me at all but the Fieldhouse is centrally located. Also for a team like Deming, one of their main goals over the course of the season is to make it to the region and now they get rewarded with a 10:00 o' clock game. To me that is just awful and makes it bad for the kids. I mean having to play the biggest game of the year at 10:00 o' clock, that isn't how it should be. I know that this isn't the KOB's problem but I just think that holding the girls 9th region and the boys 9th and 10th region is too much for it. I wouldn't have near the problem if when the 10th region was there that the 9th would be elsewhere. I know this starts a nonending debate but you can't fix something that isn't broken and it was doing just fine in the Fieldhouse.
  17. I just bought 3 tickets at the local Kroger off Ticketmaster for the Tuesday night games and it cost $33.75. The tickets are only 8 but then the service charges cost $3.25. I think this is too much and Tuesday will be the only day I am going. I realize that this is for two region finals but I would still just rather it be at the Fieldhouse or even over in Mt. Sterling. For the region I think the seats should be general admission which would mean first come first serve. Fans shouldn't have to worry about all this seating stuff until they get to Rupp. Hopefully this will be the first and the last time that the BOKC holds the 10th region tournament.
  18. Close through the first 3 quarters but then Boone ends up winning by double digits.
  19. Maybe Deming can hang with them for a quarter or even maybe a half but in the end Scott by about 20.
  20. Only hope for St. Pat is to hope that Clark is still asleep. Clark by as many as they want.
  21. I look for Elliott to cruise through this tournament with not having a game under 15 points. I have been wrong before though so don't count on it, crazier things have happened.
  22. Huge win for NewCath, I am very surprised. This could set up a very entertaining first round match up at region.
  23. Looks like it will be a good region tournament with in my opinion Scott, Clark, and Mason all having very good chances at winning it. Mason got the worst first round draw possible but is away from Scott and Clark, so in the end it isn't too bad. The only bad thing is that we have to wait a whole week to see these matchups play out! Them dang girls!! lol
