Second game on Monday night, The Ashland Tomcats vs the Elliott County Lions

 

What are your thoughts on this game?

With or without Timmy, Elliott County wins!

Elliott County looked like they knew they were going to win last night and didn't play on the offensive side of the ball like I thought they were capable. They looked bored out there. I look for them to step it up a notch Monday night and win by 20+.

I agree. I didn't think Elliott played overly hard in the first quarter. Maybe they didn't want to blow the other team out? I don't know, but they are certainly very capable and the Tomcats will have an uphill battle with or without Timmy Knipp. Here's hoping his ankle heals and Ashland can play the full team. Best of luck to both teams and congrats on getting this far!

Elliott by 20 to 30 with the margin depending on Timmy's ankle.

Elliott will win this one in a little better fashion than last night due to the fact they haven't played. I agree everybody in the gym even the players knew that last night was going to be a victory (goodluck to Russell in the future), Ashland will give Elliott a game for a quarter.

Elliott by 28, but I look for Bonner to have a good game if he they can get him the ball.

Ashland is, at their very best, mediocre. However, if Elliott County plays as lackadaisically as they did against Russell, they will only beat Ashland by 20 or so. If Elliott County comes out to take care of business, they can name the score.

 

Still, the region, certainly including Ashland, is weak enough that Elliott County doesn't have to fire on very many cylinders to walk through the competition.

 

Rupp Arena will be a bit different since there will be no other 16th Region teams there.

Elliott by 20+ no Kouns to control the outcome.
