I think Elliott will win this one by 20- 25. They are by far the best team in the region if you are talking about their starting lineup. However I have to disagree with Bluegrass Will when he says that they could win easily with T. Knipp and the twins sitting out. Elliotts reserves are not better than Ashland. I know that Elliott would still have Ferg and C. Knipp but Elliott would be easier to guard if they only had two stars as opposed to five. Now after having said that I believe with or without T. Knipp Elliott will roll tonight on their way to a possible showdown with Bath Co.

My apologies to Royal Uncle and thank you catfan08 for correcting me. I predicted an Elliott County win and mistakenly picked Ashland in the poll. It was a mistake, not a sympathy vote.

Elliott could probably sit T Knipp and both Faulkners and win this game. I really don't see Elliott giving their best effort in any game in the Regions because they won't have to? Nobody in the 16th can challenge them, and their boys know it. Hard to get fired up under these conditions. I think it would be best if they rest Knipp and make sure he is completely healed for the State tourney.

 

I wouldn't go that far, they could win without Timmy and maybe one of the Faulkners, but all three and I'm not so sure. It's not like Chris Knipp will have 26 every night. With that being said, Ashland hasn't been themselves in a few years, I'll take Elliott by 19

I am hearing T. Knipp will not play tonight can any Elliott fans verify this. I still don't see the Lions having any trouble they will just get after them a little more with the press. Good luck to the Lions.

I am with TruBlu on this one. I think it is awesome that Elliott County is good enough to put up 31 points in the first quarter and do it "bored". I am actually paying them a huge compliment. Name any other team that can go out and play that way and win by 25? I can't. I am excited for them and can't wait to see them cut down the nets in Rupp.:isurrender:

Holmes has only scored 88 points total in the last two games, can't see them scoring 31 points in one quarter.

If Elliott Co. can win the state tournament they will have a home grown team with a dream come true. Their school has around 300 students. If they do not win, they have still been a great home grown story. If Scott Co. can win that most will just say what did you expect. If they can't, some will say they should have. I believe that one team can't lose and the other can't win.:thumb:

You won't have to worry about that, Holmes is going to win or Shelby Valley.

IMO, Elliott wins by 20 or so. Ashland has managed to make the most out of their season and as I mentioned in another thread, they just always seem to be there at the end in the 16th Region.
