Jason Reineke is a good young offical in the 9th. I also like Tim Reed. You have to throw Charlie Chapie in there. Jenny Mertle has to be one of the worst. Dan Shields does to much to draw attention to himself in my opinion.

I'll take Villa by 10. I just believe they are a better team. Villa should be mad at their loss to Beechwood. They led a lot of that game until the end. If they can play with Beechwood that long, I have to think that they can handle Dayton.

Villa just beat them.

Bryan had 19. Love had 25. Good game. Villa led after the first and at half time. Beechwood led after the third by one. Villa had a five point lead with about five minutes to go and let it get away. Game was tied with about two and a half to go. Beechwood went on a run. Beechwood hit like ten free throws down the strech to seal the win. Good game by both teams. Hall had 32 including 5 threes.

No way Gallatin County is ahead of NCC or Holy Cross.

I think he can play D3 or NAIA.

Both teams will be undefeated in Division III when they meet at Villa on Thursday night. I would say that Beechwood is the favorite to win. I'm sure they will be looking to make up for their game against Holmes. Villa has been playing well and should want this one pretty bad. They may have a fairly good chance if Romes is not 100%. Any thoughts?

Wow, thought this would have been much worse. Congrats to Gallatin on the win and Owen for keeping it so close.

Interesting. I still thought beechwood would do a little better. They played Cov Cath fairly close last week. Wonder what this says about the Cov Cath/Holmes game? Did beechwood play their starters the whole game, or throw in the towel early?

Can someone tell me why Noll was not in the game for Cov Cath in that fourth quarter when Highlands kept driving to the basket and scoring. It was like both teams traded styles at half time. Cov Cath scored all inside in the first half. Highland scored all from the outside in the first half. In the second, it was exactly the opposite. IMO you would want your starting center in the game when the other team keeps bring the ball inside. Good game though, sloppy after the first quarter. Simpson seemed to struggle. Congrats to highlands. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss anyday. Both teams played hard. I would love to see a rematch in regionals.

Congrats to Dayton. Heritage has been struggling, but they still put up a good fight every time out and they have some nice talent on the team. Dayton can be good if they continue to work as a team like they seemed to have done tonight. Nice win!

Bellevue played really well. They were down early on in the game but kept fighting back. Villa was up six at the half. Bellevue came back and went up eight or so by the end of the third. The Kessen kid was on fire. He had to hit at least six or seven three's. Villa came out in the fourth and really took it to Bellevue. I'm pretty sure Bellevue was up 8 with four or five minutes to go and Villa ended up winning by eight. Good game played by both teams. Bellevue is now 7-8. I believe Villa is 6-6. Villa is still undefeated in conference play, but they have to play Beechwood on Thursday. Could be a good game.

As long as Villa is not looking ahead to Beechwood on Thursday they should win. Ill go Villa by 15.

Lloyd is over. It's under one hundred. They are expected to be back next year. I have to go with NCC on the top half with a slight edge over Beechwood. Looks like St. Henry over Villa in the bottom half.

Teams like Villa? Villa has come a long way over the years. They will never be a regional contender, but they are certainly not as bad as they used to be. I believe they are undefeated in DIII right now, tied with Beechwood. I guess we'll see tonight, but I'll still take Villa over Ludlow.

I heard a rumor that Cov Cath may build a new gym on the grass area to the left of the school. Is there any truth to that?

Boone's new one is really cool. Villa Madonna is one of the most unique, no one has a gym like that. Heritage has to be the worst gym in the state, I know they are a small school, but they need to build something for those players. They don't even have a wood floor! Cov Cath is always fun because of the fans. Holmes is just huge. Ryle is a very nice mix of size and comfort. Silver Grove is in pretty bad shape.

I think it is going to depend on what Ludlow team shows up. There are times when they play really well, and then other times they don't look so hot. Villa has been pretty good this year. They only have 4 wins, but they have lost a lot of close ones. The only bad loss they have is against NCC which is to be expected. Ill go Villa by 77-70. They have to be able to hold off Ludlows hot shooting at home.

Could be a good game. I give Connor the edge a bit because of their size inside, however, I think Gallatin has the better guards.
