  1. Ludlow might be able to impact the "big picture" because of their district. They are like Villa, with such a small district, it comes down to who ever does not have to play Dixie. That district is a blind draw. Villa has played Dixie the past two years and Ludlow has played Lloyd. Ludlow can be good this season. They need to get Rouse healthy. Logan does a nice job at point guard, but I do not know what they have inside.
  2. I think this is with out a doubt the best prediction for division three. All the games should be good to watch in the division, but none of the teams will really impact the big picture.
  3. Clavary will be good, they are young, but have some talented guys. Ludlow is already dealing with injuries with rouse out, hopefully he can recover fast from the arm injury. I don't know anything about Dayton, so you might be right there.
  4. They should be pretty solid. They did not graduate anyone and they picked up an outstanding transfer point guard. They still have Love and Hamilton who have been starting for two years. They are due for a good season. Should be a fun villa team to watch for a change. I see beechwood as their main competator in division three.
  5. Didn't know about romes II going to beechwood. They should be good then. I know he is a realgood ball player and should help them out a lot. Nice complement to Hall (who can be streaky) I dont know who the Villa kid is. I just saw him play over the summer in the summer league and he looked real good. He's a point guard. But, with all of these other transfers to Beechwood, they should be the team to beat.
  6. Nice mix of Big and Small schools from all around the state. Should be a fun tourney to watch. Nice job by the lloyd coach.
  7. My money is on Villa first. They just got a nice transfer and not to mention they still have Hamilton and Love, who plays with hall in AAU. Next would be beechwood with Hall. Then Calvary who has all of thier players returning. Silver Grove, Ludlow, bellevue, heritage, and dayton will round out the division in that order.
  8. Holmes St. Henry Cov Cath Highlands Holmes Cov Cath Cov Cath Hill
  9. I don't see it either. It would just be nice to see a small school beat these cocky kids from the big school.
  10. Ludlow and Villa are both rebuilding. This district is a blind draw. Dixie will walk in to the regional every year no matter who they play. Ludlow should be stronger next year, they are still adjusting from the loss of their big guys. Villa starts 5 Juniors this year, so they have some talent coming back next year. They lost to lloyd by 5 and split with Ludlow. They should be able to get into the regional next year as long as they do not draw Dixie. This is a weak district this year, but I think next year all of these teams will suprise some people.
  11. The coaches just voted yesterday. Pelle won the most votes in Division three. He also won Mr. Hustle. Wiseman won best Defensive player. Dilts from Dayton won the academic award. Other All conference team in division three: (Top Five) Pelle- Silver Grove Hall- Beechwood Wiseman- Silver Grove Flannagin- Calvary Love- Villa Madonna There are more, but I know these for sure.
  12. I know they had a nice win last night over Villa Madonna at Villa. Vories seems to do a great job with his varsity team. He came in at a good time with a pretty good senior class. You can tell his team responds well to his intensity. Ross and Haynes work extremely hard. The JV team has a lot of fight in them as well, they pulled out a one point win in double overtime over Villa. They seem to be taking the right steps. I know they are hosting a small school Freshman tournement this weekend and a JV Tourney next weekend. Seems like they are dedicated.
  13. I would have to say the Finan kid from Beechwood would have to fall into this category.
  14. Ludlow had York quit. In addition, Dayton is not rebuilding, they have 8 seniors, and did not lose that much from last year.
  15. Looks like they will split the conferance championship now.
  16. impressive. Dayton seems to be comming along. I'm happy for Dilts
  17. Silver Grove by 20 if they want. Beechwood just struggled with Heritage. I understand they were probably not fired up for Heritage, but still. Beechwood is a physical team and well disciplined this year, but they will not be able to match the talent of the Grove.
  18. Bellevue played a hell of a game. Justin Ross gives you 110% the entire time he is out there. He runs the point and I would bet that he is also top 2 in Rebounds. Bellevue let an 11 point lead slip away in the last three minutes. Newport came back to tie the game but Bellevue managed to hold on. I've seen both play a couple times this year, and I can say that Newpot wasn't missing much. J.J. Hesch, Brewer, Macintosh, and Jones were all still out there. They just got out hustled, flat out. Bellevue played hard and deserved to win that game.
  19. I'm going with St. Henry by 8 over Holy Cross. St. Henry again in finals over NCC by 10+. Props to Bellevue tonight as well holding on over Newport. Beechwood also played strong in win over Dayton, shot extremely well.
