Bellevue beat Newport by two. Beechwood handled Dayton fairly easy.

For former players and present. Who is the hardest/best player that you have ever had to guard? You personally had to go up against him. Did he make you look stupid (go ahead, you can admit it!), or were you able to shut him down?

Good to know. Just going off of what I heard. I just assumed they were missing more since they beat Dayton earlier in the year. Thanks for the info.

Thought this would be a closer game. It seems like unless the Grove is playing, every division three game is close.

Good win for Dayton. My understanding is that Villa had some players out with the flu. Not to take anything away from dayton, but both teams had regulars out of the line up.

Nice to see Hall get back on track. He has been off the past couple of games. If he is down, then Beechwood is down. If haynes is really off the team then bellevue may be in for a long season. He if a physical player who does very well for them at the division three level. They still have some talent there, but he was the go to guy for the tigers.

Final. I may need some help on this one, but has Villa Madonna (other than now) ever beat Ludlow in the history of the school? Congrats to the Blue Lightning. Love hit a shot with 2 seconds left to go up two. Ludlow missed the final shot from half court.

With so many coaches changing schools every year, I thought it would be fun to see how many are the "best" coach at more than one school. Plus just to see who has, in your opinion, done the best job over the years.

This was supposed to be the year for Dayton. They have come up just short several times this year including two one point losses to both Bellevue and Villa. Dilts has eight seniors on the team who have taken some lumps over the years. It would be nice to see them get things together for the next two months.

Pelle did play a lot more in that game than people think. He had 7 points in the third and nine in the fourth. Villa pulled it to within 10 in the fourth quarter after being down that far. SG's coach even called back to back full time outs just to keep reeming his players. Pelle is just way to good of a player for division three, Villa had no answer for him. No team has had an answer for him

9th Region Dixie should love it. They have a cake walk into regionals every year. Sucks beacuse either Ludlow, Lloyd or Villa have to be in the regional. That district is also a blind draw so they do not even have to play during the regular season. Beechwood has to be the most upset, their year was last year and they still did not get in. Holy Cross, Holmes and Cov Cath should be in every year yet one has to go home early. Highlands and New Cath can't complain. Plus Newport has a chance to move a little with bellevue and dayton there. Ryle, St. Henry, Connor, and Boone need to just suck it up and take it to each other, they always have. Poor Heritage.

You almost have to throw Silver Grove in the mix now. I know Brossart is a good program, but you just never know with the grove.

He really is the man. He has seen every different defense there is and still manages to get his 30. The thing everyone overlooks is his ability to play defense himself. A ton of his points come from steals he created.

Always seems to be a nice Christmas Tourney. I'm pretty sure Villa has been doing it for a while. Nice to see different teams from all around the state show up to a small school.
