Dayton 46 Villa 40

Recommended Posts

While this might seem like any other win it really is a great win for the Devils. Down 2 starters and a couple of reserves the Green Devils went into the game with only 6 varsity regulars and a handfull of freshmen. They go into the opponents gym and take one from them. I think only 6 or 7 guys played the whole game, but held the Lightning to only 14 points in the first half and persevered when Villa hit a hot streak to tie it early in the fourth.

All of a sudden Dayton has gone from a one win team to a team that has won 3 in a row and are rolling into the All A with a full head of steam.

Great Win Devils!!!:thumb:

Good win for Dayton. My understanding is that Villa had some players out with the flu. Not to take anything away from dayton, but both teams had regulars out of the line up.

Villa was down:

#21 (Hamilton maybe?)

Dayton was down:

Hightchew

Foster

Adams (who are all seniors)

Trent (contributor)

and a couple more guys...

Dayton already lacks size and two of the three players that are over 6 ft. were not available. They played with only one conventional big man. Seven total players played, it was: 4 Seniors(3 with significant varsity experience), 1 Junior, 2 Freshmen

just to clarify..
