greendevil Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Greendevils move to 7-6 on the year and 3-2 in the conference. Well balanced scoring effort, with about 3 or 4 guys between 10 and 15 points. Ryan St. Blanchard led Heritage with 23 before leaving with about 3 minutes left in the game with a large rather bloody gash on the left side of his head.
Hoops111 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Congrats to Dayton. Heritage has been struggling, but they still put up a good fight every time out and they have some nice talent on the team. Dayton can be good if they continue to work as a team like they seemed to have done tonight. Nice win!

Heritage has been struggling, but they still put up a good fight every time out and they have some nice talent on the team. Dayton can be good if they continue to work as a team like they seemed to have done tonight. Nice win! Dayton came out rather strong and was leading 17-4 by the end of the 1st quarter before Heritage knew what hit 'em. I think it was pushed to about 20-4 before Heritage finally stopped the run and played about even to the half. They even started to make a run in the last 5 minutes or so, as it shows, cutting the lead to about 10, but without St. Blanchard they couldn't dwindle the big lead anymore. On a side note, the Eastin kid from Dayton was apparently in the coach's doghouse through about 3 quarters until he entered just under the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter, and in that amount of time it appeared that he probably missed double figures by a bucket and had about a handful of boards and interecepted a few passes... He can play. Also on that note, it is a testament to the rest of the team for how well they played without him. Was really impressed by the sometimes erratic guard play... Young seemed to find a lot of open men under for lay ups, Brownfield seemed to get in there a fight with the trees for a lot of boards, and Lovell hit a lot of shots...
