The Wildcats win the opening game of the Lloyd Invitational. They are now 8-2 and take on the Lloyd-Connor winner at 4:30 tomorrow.

From the report I got the Cats held off Villa by hitting their free throws down the stretch. Never know how kids will respond that early in the morning.

Good W for GC. It is early for kids to be playing @ 9:30 but glad to see they held on for the win. Did GC play bad or Villa play up?

Good game. Both teams started off slow. Gallatin had a 6 point lead at the half. Villa took the lead by the end of the third. Game was tied with a minute to go. Villa was forced to foul, and Gallatin hit their free throws down the stretch.

 

Maddox had 24 for Gallatin. Bryan had 25 for Villa and Love had 18.

 

Conner beat Lloyd by three. Lloyd missed a three at the buzzer. Only two games down, but already some good basketball being played. Should be a good tournement to watch this weekend!

Could be a good game. I give Connor the edge a bit because of their size inside, however, I think Gallatin has the better guards.

If Holmes and Boone win their games, will they meet in the finals? If so, that should be a great game. Both teams are playing well.
