  1. So which ones are you saying the "Burg" should of tried to keep?
  2. If I'm not wrong the last two coaches Williamsburg had...it was the school's decision to let them go and not the coaches.
  3. I was at a boys game this year where about 15 students were allowed to stand on the sidelines so close to the gym that occassionally they would actually go over the line to scream at the opposing teams players. They were allowed to do that until half-time when the opposing team had to go by them to get to their locker-room...they crused them and screamed at them so badly that that team's coach actually went over to them and asked them to stop. A parent of a player finally saw the A.D. and approached him at half-time about the situation in which the A.D. went to the students and told them either they set down or leave....they opted to leave. My only question is why did it take an entire half for the problem to be remedy?
  4. I thought this game would of been much closer...Corbin has some good talent and maybe they will play up to their potential if they get the opportunity to play South in the Region and make it a better game.
  5. And maybe his mission work should start at his own front door.
  6. :thumb: You took the words right out of my mouth Americanman.
  7. South only beat Corbin by 7 on Jan. 23 at South. I think Corbin could pull the upset.
  8. Coach Robinson could use many excuses, but has not once done so. Everyone knows South has a powerhouse of a team, I think coach Wright could of found at least one positive comment about Williamsburg's effort. After the Jackets played Corbin much closer than the previous times Coach P. was nothing but a class act and commented on Williamsburg's improvement.
  9. Thank you.....After reading the article I'll have to agree with Bubba.. Coach Wright must of felt the Jackets played a little closer than he would of liked. I do know that South shot 29 free throws to Williamsburg's 6! Needless to say South stayed at the line alot. Williamsburg had to dig hard for everything they got. The Jackets also was without starting guard Steven Taylor and sit starters Thomas Frazier and Daniel Kilgore on the bench for most of the first quarter. If Corbin beats Whitley tonight you may very well see a much closer game between Corbin and South.....with Corbin coming out on top.
  10. I thought all the Jackets had a good game tonight. McCray stepped up and showed true leadership. Conlin gave a good effort considering he just came off an injury...Pettit was a workhorse again tonight also. Coach Robinson and Coach Williams deserve Congrats!
  11. Thank you Hector. Sometimes Whitley can have a large lead and not be able to hold onto it.
  12. Being a parent of a player and having the opportunity to coach a couple of sports on the varsity level....I have had the opportunity to see both sides. As a coach I wanted to win so I played my best athletes....while as a parent it was killing me inside to watch these other parents stand or sit and wait for their child to participate. I have always told my son it does not matter if you start or how many minutes you play it's how you perform while your out there. I am fortuate my child has been a decent athlete and gets his fair share of playing time. I agree it's no longer LITTLE LEAGUE parents do need to STAY OUT of the COACHES decisions.
  13. Congrats!!!! Frazier is one tough player. I'm looking forward to watching him play on the next level.:ylsuper:
