Corbin 85 Cumberland 67

Featured Replies

Very good game for the first half as Cumberland went to the break on top. However Corbin's depth prevailed as the Hounds outscored the skins 50-30 in the second half. Josh Smith stepped up big for the Hounds and Brooks Hogue stepped up big for the Skins tonight. These two teams could very well meet again this year. I predicted tonight that these two teams will be the region title game next year. I don't know how well he plays but Garfield Wilson is a good lookin kid. If they had him this year, I could only imagine how dangerous the Skins would be.

Both teams played last night but with Cumberland having a tight game with Bell and Corbin having a relatively easy game with Pineville, legs probably played a role in the margin of victory.

I watched this game and thought Corbin wore down the Skins in the second half. Both teams are good. Corbin seems to be hitting on all cylinders as the tournament draws closer. Good Luck to both teams in the post season. I think the Hounds are peaking at the right time of the year and will be a tough out for somebody. I also want to hear what HDE has to say about the Hounds and the Skins after seeing them play tonight.

Corbin has come a long, long way since the summer. I think Corbin's pressure did wear Cumberland down in the third quarter when they had nine turnovers and Corbin took control. I haven't seen Corbin get after anyone like that in a while.

Corbin went 10 deep and Cumberland played seven, with one of those playing very little. Barley and Smith gave Corbin a big lift.

Corbin may be the second best team in the region, which is something I wouldn't have thought I'd say this year.

I seem to recall Bubba telling me earlier in the year that the key to Corbin's season would be how much Smith & Barley improved over the course of the year....................appears he was right.

Bubba watches alot of ball. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then....lol

Smith, Barley, Crawford and Johnson give the Hounds some offensive weapons. Manns, Sewell, Wilson, Cashen and Hamlin do their roles as well. I like the way the Hounds are shaping up. Now onto Rockcastle and a big test with Clay next week.

They might just win the 13th Region. I think South will get them in the district (at South), but Corbin may well pull the upset and win the regional title at Corbin.

I like the way you think and that's what I'm thinking too. However, Corbin and South may not make it past game one with the way this region is. Corbin has a stingy Whitley County team to beat in order to even get there.

Wilson is a nice player.Him and Johnson down low will be very hard to stop and will cause major matchup problems. This Cumberland is going through a maturation process right now and are learning a lot of things.Who would of thought 2 years ago when they were 2-22 they would be I think it is 18-6 right now. They are still learning and by next year with the addition of Wilson should be fun to watch and the matchup between them and Corbin will be fun. What does Clay have coming back?

I think they have everyone coming back except for the Campbell kid.

Corbin is looking might fine right now. Could be region winners, as long as Barley and Smith keeps contributing like they have.

Their defensive play is key, too.

Good game for Smith and Barley. Crawford played good also, Hounds are lookin mighty tough comin down to tournament time.
