4chs Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 South gets the win, but Williamsburg makes a much better showing tonight against the Cards. Coach Robinson did a very good job with the Jackets this year under very difficult circumstances.
nomorenoles Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Cunningham and Teague had big games for the Jackets. Cunningham made 6 threes and Teague had 16. The big kid for South has improved a ton. Hammonds had 15 in the first quarter.Proffit had the flop and got to the line every time somebody looked in his direction.
americanman Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 As always, South looked great last night and I expect them to go far. But, once Coach Wright took the Big 3 out of the game, Williamsburg played very well against South. The young Jackets looked good. I expect the meetings between these two teams to go much differently in the future. Coach Robinson brought the Jackets along well this year. He needs to be congratulated for his hard work. He took on a lot of responsibility under not so choice circumstances, the team was young, inexperienced, and not prepared well, but he hung in there and helped turn his things around. I think that he should be proud of himself and his players. Good Luck to the Jackets.
luvbasketball Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I thought all the Jackets had a good game tonight. McCray stepped up and showed true leadership. Conlin gave a good effort considering he just came off an injury...Pettit was a workhorse again tonight also. Coach Robinson and Coach Williams deserve Congrats!
The Breeze Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Sounds like the Cardinals just did enough to get by, bigger fish to fry IMO., W'burg did look improved this year and could be a solid team next year but the outcome of this particular game not changing for awhile.
SLINK Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Cards get started the right way on the way to Rupp.
