Which should it be and why? I really don't think it matters either way, but I do think that all 64 districts should be the same. Let's hear what you think.

Seeding gives a better chance that the best teams from each district will be in the regional tournament.

I voted for seeding only because the regular season should matter. You should be rewarded for winning your district games and play against a team that struggled to win or didn't win their district games.

I see the advantage of a draw where schools that can't compete against the bigger schools might have a chance to get to regionals by winning against somebody else. I just think it punishes teams that play well all year and get a good district record.

I LOVE the draw. Puts a mystery into it that is not there with the seed. With the seed, you could choose who is playing who at the beginning of the season and be right about 99% of the time.

Take the NKY 10th region district. MOST of the time, Silver Grove and Calvary are going to play each other for the right to play Brossart. Scott and Campbell are going to play the other game. Seeding and I would hazard a guess that I would be right with this alignment more than I would be wrong.

I vote seed, but only if all district teams play each other home and away each season.

To me you have to play whoever you get to go on to the region, know if season dictates seeding that's another thing.

Seeding for District tournaments, would be based off regular season finish and be of significant importance.

The heck with "mystery". A team should play their way into the regional tournament.

Seeding is the way to go. It makes the regular season more meaningful. A blind draw can reward a team who didnt earn it on the floor.

Wouldn't the teams in a blind draw still have to win a game?

If you are that worried about it, why do we let losers in the districts go to regionals and then win regionals to go on to state when they couldn't even win their districts. They surely didn't earn it "on the court."

If you don't seed then all the work team have put in to win a Lot of games is kind of wasted.

I like the draw. The way I see it is, if you are good enough to win the region it shouldn't matter who or when you play them. If the top two teams in the region is in the same district, wouldn't you only want to beat them once.

I do agree that every district should do the same thing though. Either seed or draw.

I like the seed, but if you do that, better have a tiebreaker method in place if you don't like the draw method to brake a seeding tie. Weather it be record against other regional teams played in common or winning pct of the tieing teams...
