If you don't seed then all the work team have put in to win a Lot of games is kind of wasted.

Why is a regular season game to a high school kid ever a waste? You only play 23.

Seeding is the right thing to do to make the regular season meaningful.

However, if you don't seed the regional or state tourney (and I am not sure exactly how you would) does it really matter?

Agree 100%. Dont know exactly how to go about it but I would love to see each level of the post season seeded.

I would rather see the regionals seeded some way, some how. Districts are important but the regional and state should trump the districts. The Lit and Cantrall are both fairly accurate, I hate seeing the top two teams in the region facing off in the semi finals. Look at the S16 this year, the top bracket is LOADED, would love to see some type of computer formula to seed those that make it to Rupp.

Funny thing is that the responses thus far to this poll almost mirror the real data. From what I see on KHSAA web site, about 42 or 43 seed, about 21 or 22 don't, just about the same vote. Obviously no clear conclusion. Interesting

Except for the district losers in the finals , you are out when you lose.

How many Dists in KY? 50 something? So you have that many teams lose in the tournament and still move on. Just seems odd to me.

The fans of the perenially successful teams prefer seeding.

Wouldn't the teams in a blind draw still have to win a game?

If you are that worried about it, why do we let losers in the districts go to regionals and then win regionals to go on to state when they couldn't even win their districts. They surely didn't earn it "on the court."

Lets draw to see who goes to the NCAA tourney, the regular season dont mean anything.

Lets just pattern everything after colleges then. Some high schools recruit better than Tubby does anyway

The KHSAA should step in and make everybody either seed or blind draw. It is not fair that some seed and some don't. The problem is they won't because it would destroy the Sweet Sixteen and that funds 63% of the KHSAA budget. If they mandated seeding The small schools would push for class basketball tourneys or perhaps leave KHSAA and form their own association. Either way the SWEET16 as we know it would be gone. Before everyone slams on me I know the ALL "A" exists, but the money for the small schools at stake from making the regionals is also what is driving some districts not to seed either.

They have Played St.Pat during the regular season and Bracken In a tourny at Mason. The only game I have seen Mason play in Augusta was a freshmen game last year.

I don't know the last time they played Augusta, Outside of the districts last year.

Theres a reason They choose not to play Augusta,Because the games usually arent competive.

And their games against Bracken and Saint Patrick have been competitive?

If only 20 districts dont seed then what would be the big deao seed everyone? Just make them seed and leave everything else the same, make the darn regular season mean something!

WOW! Seeding in a landslide. I like the draw, makes things really interesting, however, I really like seeding because it rewards good regular season play.
