I'm upset but not surpised that Knollman didn't call it cause I know he took A LOT of heat for that technical on that Gallatin-Owen crucial seeding game 2 years ago. Coincidentally Owen was on the other side of the no call this time. Oh well, gotta move on. Congrats to HC. Can't wait til Districts.

Nice comeback by the Lady Rebs. One slight alter in the bounce of the final shot and they would have been the District Champs.. It was that close, my back has been bothering me and I couldn't help the Owen fans lean that one in like I wanted too.

Thanks True Blue, been watching for a while. Finally broke down and joined after getting my broadband stable. Glad to see all this input from the 8th, and more so the Class A schools from the 8th's input and interest on this site.. You guys/gals have great views/talks...

Just checked in with family at the game. Owen won by 10. Congrats Lady Rebels for moving on and Lady Cats on their season.

Owen Co has gone 12-2 since January 1, both losses to Gallatin for a combine total of 7 points, one in overtime. And guess who they play 1st round of the 31st???? Should be another classic...

Owen's star might a been a transfer, but actually he transfered back to Owen. He was in the program before, not at varsity level

Was the other coaches recieving votes for Coach of Year something that is announced/released, or do they just announce the winner?

Having that district tourney on your floor WILL help bring that home team holding the district a victory and a pass to the regions ALOT. It happened to me a while back and our team didn't deserve to go to regions that year IMO.. That year our district drawed and the next year we seeded...

I like the seed, but if you do that, better have a tiebreaker method in place if you don't like the draw method to brake a seeding tie. Weather it be record against other regional teams played in common or winning pct of the tieing teams...

Lets switch gears. What about the coach of the year? I thought it would be either Jones or Duvall. Did Holland slip in there on us? 31st District good showing for this award..

I would have thought that Owen Co would have had either the player of year OR coach of the year.
