Congrats Lady Rebs for moving on. Congrats to the Lady Cats on their winning season too. 2 nicely matched Class A/District 31 teams....

I saw the first half of this game and it was tied at half time...Both teams were working hard at def and off...

Good Seasons Lady Wildcats!

Good Game to Owen Co.

Thanks True Blue, been watching for a while. Finally broke down and joined after getting my broadband stable. Glad to see all this input from the 8th, and more so the Class A schools from the 8th's input and interest on this site.. You guys/gals have great views/talks...

Not only do we talk basketball but we are really witty and funny too...see our posts on the "holding pen" , "Cattle Prod" and Shasta....

I am going to miss talking to you guys when the seaon is over..my next sport is track and I hardly think there is the speculation and discussion on that.

Welcome Firechief..

Thanks Lunatic1, I actually got a sip of that Shasta and bowl of chilli myself at the Class A hospitality room, it hit the spot.... One of the persuations to go ahead and join after reading and rolling in laughter...

Glad that you were with us in spirit, FireChief! That was a good time!

Lunatic1, we are just starting track this year. You will have to teach me what you know.

Buttels - I am sure that you must be disappointed in the outcome of the game, but not the hardwork and effort that your daughter put into the season. You are both to be commended.

I do not know anything about track, it is my daughter's first year...

We will have to learn together, I do know that she is running the 800 M and high jump...

I watched Amanda play tonight and she was working so hard, I really hate the end of the season for the seniors, especially watching how hard she played. When I left I thought they would pull it out..they were in some foul trouble though I believe.

Good Season Buttels and I hope Amanda does well where ever she decides to go to school.

Just got home from the game. 9 posts already WOW!!!

L1, thanks for the compliments. The girls were upset at the loss, but as I told them, they have nothing to hang their head about. It was the first winning season for them in some time. They can hang their hat on that. College Coaches on site looking at Taylor Wood tonight. Taylor always has a great game against Owen.

Where to start.

You thought at the half that Gallatin had the momentum to carry on. Believe me, I could drag out the old soapbox and comment at length about the officials. Mr. Watkins and crew did their usual hack job on the Lady Wildcats, but I digress.

It was turnovers alone that caused this one. The Lady Wildcats were their own worst enemy as they tossed the ball out of bounds more times than I can remember.

I feel bad for Coach Roberts and the team, but as I wrote to her earlier today, build on the loss. Make them better. I know she will.

Thanks to everyone who listened and I apologize for anyone who could not hear. I had a problem with the encoder I found out. The archived game is where you know where to find it.

You know where we will be tomorrow.:thumb:

For those who have met me, can you believe that I ran the 110 High Hurdles???:D

For those who have met me, can you believe that I ran the 110 High Hurdles???:D

I might be impressed, Buttels, if I knew exactly what they were! :D Of course, any hurdles sounds impressive to me. Like I told L1, my learning curve for track will be huge!

Buttels - I ran the 110 hurdles also, it is a lot harder than it looks..I also messed my knee up and it still crunches when I walk.

Well..wish us luck against Owen Co. this Friday. My CC girls did not quite have their game together against Henry. I hope they win the district and have a shot at the region. It would be great to see someone from the 31st go to state..boys or girls.

Buttels - are you familiar with the how they do the match-ups in the region? I know the 1st place team usually plays the 2nd place form another but is that drawn? If so could we end up against our own district again?

Tough loss for the girls. Just could not put the ball in the basket the 4th Quarter (1 point in first 6:02).

I would still like to give congrats to Coach Roberts and the players for fighting through so much adversity to post a winning record in her 1st season.

Buttells, you have to be proud of the way Amanda and the rest of the girls fought hard and never gave up even though the odds were stacked against them with all of the injuries.
