  1. The people of Williamsburg wish this young man a speedy recovery. Going through this with one of our own students (Jon Atkins) this past year we want to give you encouragement. Jon was in a terrible automoblile crash that left him in a coma. Many did not think he would survive, the crash happened on Dec. 21 and Jon was released on May 11 from the Patricia Neil rehabiltation center in Nashville. Jon walked across the stage with his senior class on May 26. Needless to say he recieved the loudest appaulse of the night. Keep the prayers coming for Justin they do work!!
  2. When I heard the rumor I also questioned it, but was told that he is indeed very interested in the Whitley program and it's future. I agree with some others on this thread...Parents need to stay out of it and let a coach get in there and build a program. Being a parent I know it's hard, but sometimes biting your tongue and walking away is by far the best thing for your child and the team.
  3. I also heard Deaton was gone.....and they have a hometown boy that their looking at to replace him.
  4. J. Lebanion will be the Q.B. for Whitley this year.
  5. I agree I think Whitley and Williamsburg will both experience some success this year.:thumb:
  6. :thumb: Also... some courses have rolling hills you climb with the clubs strapped on your back. Try walking Crooked Creek Golf Course, London, KY in 85 to 90+ degree weather.
  7. Jim would love the "Burg" ....very nice people. We also have the beautiful University of the Cumberlands campus. The Yellowjackets and Colonels would make him feel right at home.
  8. Corbin played their hearts out and they are a young team. Do they just have the one senior?
  9. They definitely as you say "Played the bigger fish"! The only thing that could of been better is if they could of held on to win. Maybe the Redhounds will do just that tonight.
  10. Redhounds will make the Cards work a lot harder for this one....with the homecourt advantage I'm going to say Corbin by 3.
  11. Yell, but sounds like it was an all out war for both teams. I love it when the big fish has to work a little harder to get the little fish, don't you Les!!!
  12. Good effort by the Skins.....hard to believe they are just a single A school.
  13. Good Win for the Redhounds! They are a good team and they proved that tonight.
  14. Here here Nomorenoless!! I agree he will indeed outlast Whitley's coach...if you want to check a long list of coaches check that one!! I think Maxey was the last so called long term coach. Being close to the situation I think Coach Robinson will be at the Burg for quit some time. If someone is talking they are doing it outside the Jacket Nest I can promise that.
  15. Bubba this is one time I'll have to disagree with you. Being a parent and in the education business trust me age makes a difference in BOYS..I would think you would also relate to this. I really hate to disagree with you....you are always one I tend to agree with!!
  16. I agree with you Bubba. I think Whitley could also learn from this. I personally think Coach Robinson will be around for awhile. Hopefully there will be much more improvement over the next couple of years. I think it will help that Williamsburg will have no seniors next year.
  17. Gosh Les.....a little touchy aren't we. That's what's good about Bluegrass Preps we can all express our opinion. How do you know South's kids so well? I wish someone would take the time to get to know the players from other schools like Whitley and Williamsburg then maybe they wouldn't be so quick to ponce on them when they have a bad game or SEASON.
