What does Whitley County need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Lebanion at quarterback will make them much tougher to defend. He is a big time athlete.

Jordan McCumbers is the returning starter, I would be surprised not to see him at the helm. I do hear that the soph. class is going to be really strong and Cody Jones will be returning. I think Whitley will suprise some of the high school football pundits this year.

 

I am just curiuos to see what tricks old Diamond Jim will come up with this year.

To actually addres what they will need to do better.....

 

1. Get faster

2. Get Stronger

3. Tackle better

4. AVOID THE INJURY NOID.......

 

Seriously I think Whitley should use their talant in the back field to run the ball to set up the pass. A year under Jim Black will help in all the areas listed above.

I would be very surprised if Lebanion is not under center this year.

Does not matter, WEKX will say they are the best then tow off and expect a 6-4 season. Injuries, bad luck, grades, transfers, and any other reason is why they have not been on the carpet in ages.......sounds familar....:dancingpa

Regardles of the Qb or the line...Whitley is toast....fire the cannons, sound the guns, but make sure you have a team that can do somethings first.

I expect Whitley to be much improved. The kids will be indoctrinated with Coach Black's system and will score a ton of points. The flying circus is coming to town.

Whitley plays in a district where they should be a lock for the playoffs. Bell, Rockcastle, Middlesboro and Newport dot the non district schedule. The record may not be sparkling but you can bet they will be improved. As far as the schedule goes, maybe Williamsburg and Corbin could grace the Colonels with a game, it would be one that everyone would love to see.

 

As far as improvement goes, some may actually see the Woods in spite of the trees. The Colonels will be improved, but playing the tough schedule that Coach Black has set up, the record will be improved but maybe not as much as the fans would like. The Colonels said good bye to over 10 seniors and will be replacing them with alot of youth, but Coach Black will be fine.
