If Walton does not freak out when they see the A11 offense, they can win this game. I think Walton has the size to handle the trenches on offense for a good running game, so in my opinion, it comes down to can their defense stop TC's Sullivan? Good luck to both teams.

One could argue the point the Gallatin County's team last year may have been the best ever for them. They will be tough this year, but not like last season. I would not count them out, because Coach Jones is about as good as they get in high school, at least in small schools. I am certain that he will find a way to get them playing hard before tournament time. Go Cats!

I told yall it wasn't gonna be a blow out game. Gallatin has a nice program for only being in football 3 years now. They just need to get some numbers on the sidelines so they can build on the program they have. Good luck to both programs.

From the sounds of it, Gallatin might as well save there gas and stay home. Buckler is gonna have a career day on them, probably run for about 857 yds against the woeful wildcats. NOT. I think Bellevue will win, but this is not going to be a blow out game. 28-15 Bellevue. Go Wildcats.

Problem with guys like Penny, Maddox, and others of the same ilg is that they really need someone else to draw some attention from them. Otherwise the other teams key on them and it becomes increasingly difficult for the stars to get theirs. I look for teams to focus on containing these players because of a lack of a supporting cast. Not to say the other teammates aren't any good, but they had better be a formidable threat to put in 20 during any game.

I agree with your comment that it was not well publicized. However, I do not know who/if any interviews were given. I realize there is a huge difference in coaching 8th grade girls and varsity boys. However, in his past, I believe Howard has coached at the varsity level.

I'll go with the Juggs in this game. Holmes is still banged up... and it is Sr. night.

You must be dreaming.:sleep: They will be a good team but will struggle to win the region. All in all though, they should win the All A region this year.

Let me say it this way... If I had a 6'8" kid on my team that has talent, he had better be touching the ball most every trip down the floor. Especially when most of the teams they play will not have a kid over 6'3". Some of the fans for OC that I have talked to over the summer have indicated this is not the case.

What is going on with Owen County's program? It was just a few seasons ago that they were a tough team to beat. Now... not so much. Here's hoping they get back on the winning side of the ledger soon.

Don't know if there was that many, but they sure was a bunch of them. Sloppy on both teams.

Some on here have it posted right... really a tale of two halves for both teams. Walton looked tough in the first half by pounding the ball on offense for a couple of sustained drives. Walton's defense was able to get into Gallatin's backfield almost at will during the 1st half. Gallatin was not able to move the ball and had a vulnerable defense during the 1st half. Second half was totally the ooposite for both teams as Gallatin had several sustained drives and stingy defense. Walton had several miscues on offense and really could not get it going at all in the 2nd half. Good luck to both teams next week.

I think junior Zach Jones from Gallatin County is a very good player that is often overlooked. I look for him to have a very good year and be able to take some of the presure off Maddox.

I am sure he will utilize the kid to his utmost potential. Probably run the shoes off the kid. Too bad there is not much else to back him up. I guess this is how it is with Heritage, one or two good players and not much of a supporting cast.

I thought about putting Grant in there, but I really did not know how many kids they had coming back. I am not certain I would put them ahead of Owen or not especially if they(owen) learn to play together instead of as individuals. This should be a fun season to watch unfold.

I am a little close to the situation, and know that there was not many who wanted the job. Capel asked me if I was interested early in the school season. IMO Davis probably did not like the list of candidates he had to choose from and with time running out, he took the team. I know he did the same thing last year for the 8th grade girls team when they had no coach. Howard did a nice job with them and had them playing hard by the end of the season. Hopefully he can get these boys to play hard for him by the end of the season as well. Good Luck Eagles.

I watched as these teams played twice last year. IMO Maddox outplayed Penny in both games. I think the POY for the 8th will be between these two kids. Good luck to both.
