Final (KHSAA scoreboard has it wrong)

What is going on with Owen County's program? It was just a few seasons ago that they were a tough team to beat. Now... not so much.

Here's hoping they get back on the winning side of the ledger soon.

They are vastly improved over the past few seasons. CAL is a very good team. Sounds like Owen played the best game they have played in years.

I think you would have to go back more than a few seasons to find Owen a tough team to beat. I think CAL beat them MUCH worse last year. They have the 3rd coach in 3 years. Hopefully this staff will be around for awhile. Owen Co is on the way up. There have been vast improvements on the field and off in Owen Co Football. They also have the most successful middle schoolers that they have had in several years moving up next season.

They do have a very good MS group moving up. No question it is the best group that has come through there in the past few years. Coach Fowler is working very hard.

Ask CAL if Owen was a tough team to beat. From what I can tell and what I saw on friday night CAL had fits with this Owen Co. team unlike last years

It is encouraging to read the possitive posts regarding the future of OC football. I hope the young players and new comers will follow thru with commitment and a great effort so they can enjoy the rewards.
