Top in-state youngsters

Demling of the CJ breaksdown top underclassmen in Kentucky high school basketball.

Here is the top 5

Jeffersontown junior Aaron Cosby (photo) was ranked as the No. 1 underclassman in the state of Kentucky, according to Rick Bolus' High Potential Recruiting Service.

Cosby sat out last season after transferring from Manual and will be eligible in mid-December for Jeffersontown. He is drawing a lot of major Division I attention.

Scott County transfers Chad Jackson and Dakotah Euton are ranked at No. 2 and 3. Both players are juniors and came from Rose Hill Christian during the offseason.Euton has committed to the University of Kentucky.

No. 4 player Vinny Zollo, who is a sophomore at Clark County after transferring from Greenfield (Ohio). Zollo has committed to the University of Kentucky

The No. 5 player - Manual's Tony Kimbro - left the state and is playing at a prep school.

Nice to see Elisha Justice get a mention. He is a very overlooked talent...

It will be fun to watch this young man in the 10th.

I agree...the 10th has had its share of good athletes....Knowles, Miller, Lofton, Belcher...just to name a few.

How is Ricardo Johnson of Holmes ranked #1 in the state for his class by many recruiting services but yet Bolus has him in his SECOND 6? There's no way there's 9-11 kids in the state of KY who are underclassmen that are better than Johnson.

It's all subjective.

It's all subjective.

Very true. I just don't see how Bolus comes up with his rankings.

I agree...no mention of Robbie Stenzel either.

Another young man who is without a doubt one of the top 10-15 underclassmen in the state.

He does a very poor job IMO. I agree with you 100%.

I was at the Georgetown Camp and watched a lot of games and all he did was to go from gym to gym and pick up trash .I think he has others rating players for him. Some of the best always gets left out in all of these ratings. His ratings have always been questionable. Just a way to make a living.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't his Ratings based off those, who attend his various camps he is involved with. Does he rate/rank those players, who don't attend?

I was expecting to see McCreary Central junior Aaron Watts. I think he is vastly underrated.

I believe he is probably a top 10 junior in the state.:thumb:
