This score is shocking. How does a team with that much hitting lose to a pitcher that had thrown about 15 innings all year and hasn't pitched in 3 weeks. Unreal. Very disappointing year in the 3 big sports for CCH this year.

This makes perfect sense. It looks enough kids stayed in NKY considering there were 3 other NKY teams in state football finals besides Highlands. Have you seen Greater Cincinnati basketball? Princeton is currently top 20 in the nation and the top 10 of Cincinnati would all compete for the state title in KY. Whoever told you this was probably all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

If I'm in your shoes I would just be happy with the 3 straight 16th region titles. If you were in the 7th,9th,10th or 11th regions you may not have ever seen Rupp. I'm very surprised that team never won an All A. I can not believe that anyone watching the EC-Holmes game still thinks Elliott is the better team.

I agree with this but don't think it will ever happen. There is too much tradition with how it's been done the same way for years. I think if they start to tinker with it gets the seperate class tourney some momentum.

Great post. I would think EC's fans ire would be directed at the coach. Over the last 3 years he chose to play basically 5 players and not develop a bench at all. A lot of those 40-50 point wins could have been 15-25 point wins and could have used the time to develop and coach the other kids. I believe I read the EC had 4 TO's at the end of the game. It might have been helpful to use those to give your boys a breather. When he was forced to bring in the 6th and 7th man there was a major dropoff and they looked like there was zero chance they were even thinking of taking a shot.

I would say they were successful last night!

They just won a state title and return 4 of their top 7 including 2 major D1 players. I would guess they will be ranked # 1 in the state and will say they get every # 1 vote in any 9th region preseason poll.

That was a huge no call. The BG kid was set but I would have been surprised to see the charge called. Sanford is tough and can get a shot anytime he wants.

Total of 45 fouls called in this game. They could get in some trouble with that if they keep calling them at that pace. There had to be 10-12 calls made 25 feet from the basket. I hope they handle Lex Cath's press better than today. My heart flutters whenever Rice is handling the ball.
