Brohm was otherwordly in high school. His success there can't be chalked up to his surrounding players. It's still a mystery to me how he never fully transitioned to the higher levels.

With that in mind I honestly think it's pretty good. It's got a classic look and even though it's simple it's also unique. It's something they can keep around for a very long time and will be fitting in just about any context. So, as a branding/marketing thing for the school I see where they're going. Again, I'm an outsider here and have no nostalgia for the other old one, but I don't find it very appealing either.

Obviously I'm speaking as someone with no ties to the old logo, but I like this one. Curious to see how it will look on the helmet. Has a similar vibe to the new St. X one.

I think it's a really nice idea/innovation. From what I can tell it builds a diverse ETF portfolio for you, even if you don't have enough money to purchase a full share of a fund (I'm not clear on how this works). If you are young or just getting started it seems like a painless way to get into investing. Paying their dollar a month fee is going to be much cheaper than paying $9 a trade to purchase the ETFs yourself in a traditional brokerage account, and you don't need to wait until you have enough cash to buy a worthwhile number of shares and you don't have to pay a fee when you put more money in. Their fee structure changes to a percentage once you are over $5000, so at some point it probably makes more sense to move the money to a traditional brokerage. I've found it interesting and worth watching. I'm wondering if there is a drawback somewhere.

Just stumbled into this group and pre-ordered their debut record. It sounds like they listened to Exile On Main St and took it seriously.

Anyone listen to a band out of Cincinnati (and Shake It Records) called Wussy? I'm late to the party, as they've been making records for years, but I've got a copy of their newest release Attica!. Good stuff.

This looked good enough to make, so I tried my hand at it last night. Pretty good. I used a good amount of cayenne and swapped in an habanero for the poblanos. Got a little sweat going. Thanks for sharing.

I bought a pound or so of ground bison this weekend. Anyone ever made chili with it before? I've got all the requisite seasonings and ingredients laying around here, so I plan to cook it the same way I make beef chili.

I'm going to miss Stamper, though. Without Zoe and Stamper they're really going to need a new character or two to come in, I think.

I have a pair of their earbuds and they are outstanding. Good brand.

Beats are highly overpriced from a sound standpoint. I have a pair of these Audio-Technicas and I couldn't be happier. They collapse and fit into a small bag. The cord on these is fairly long as they are meant for a studio, which could be a nuisance. At any rate, you don't need to pony up Beats-level money to get a quality pair, and if you did want to pony up that cash you could do way better.

This implies that Matt Turner is the problem. Is this accurate? Half of the bluster about parents is that they had too much influence on Warner's coaching decisions and the other half is that they had too much influence with the administration in their disagreements over Warner's coaching decisions. One implies Warner was at fault and the other implies Turner is at fault. Which is it?
