With the speed the team has had in years past, it would be odd for the coach to turn down a surface that is perfect for fast, athletic players. Probably no chance to get this done for the upcoming season so that is a shame. Maybe Highlands, NCC and Brossart could pool resources and put a quality lighted field at Pendry?

Keep in mine that there may be some Red Devil players in the mix as well. Not sure if they have the level of talent they had a year ago or not, but it would be nice to see that pipeline continue. I have no doubt that once all of these 8th grade kids are together as a group for the first time, they will gel into the future champions they are meant to be!

Try playing the team that finished first and then you will have something to brag about.

Would that be the LexCath team that lost: 54-21 to Cov Cath 37-0 to St. X 33-25 to Lone Oak and 56-7 to Trinity in addition to the two losses to Boyle (giving up 87 points in the process)? Boy, they were really tough this year.

I hope you mean that Central was far more talented back in 07' than Central is now, and not that the 07' Central team was far more talented than the Birds of that year.

You can't be the best until you show you can beat the best. And since the Breds refuse to even play the Birds, NCC will never even be the best team in Northern Campbell County.....

It is ridiculous to have 42-0, 50-0, 38-0, 47-6 and 46-7 final games. The KHSAA needs to rethink the "let's include everyone and let them all experience the playoffs" garbage.

Yep, old Dud has to wait till 2011 to get his "most wins ever in Kentucky" title. Great to see Boyle take this one on Log Mountain! That should keep the Bell faithful from spouting off about being the best in all classes except 6A this year.

Congrats to Harlan County on a fantastic season! For a 3rd year program, they have a lot to build on for the next several years!!!
