I would agree. Especially pulling on the back of the Jersey when going up for the rebound. I think some teams probably have a drill for that at practice...

I believe Walton-Verona may have a player over 6 feet tall. Other than that it seems that we have many 5'9" and 5' 10" players. I think Defense will be the key this year also.

Absolutely, however the favorite has not managed to win the tournament the last 2 years. The teams just seem to play their best ball in this tournament every year. Owen looks very tough.

Yes and they have to be there 45 minutes prior to their game. So at 6:45 they have to be at the gym!

Thank you, I am very proud of them. The new Coach has them running the offense well and they have come a long way on defense. The girls are looking forward to seeing a lot of V-ball on Saturday.

Carroll is really an unknown at this time. Looked really good this summer..but that is summer ball. Owen will be good, WV will be tough and GC is hard to tell also at this point. I would not right off Williamstown either. All of the teams have potential and I think that it will come down to who is having a good night!. Gallatin will have the home court advantage but that has really not been a factor in the last several years.

Gotta go with the Panthers .. I think they are on a roll. Really proud of the CC boys and the Coaching staff, looks like they have really put together a good bunch on and off the field.

Congrats to Carroll County and good luck next Satuday at the state tournament. A good team effort. Also congrats to Coaches Kristin Arbinger and Lynn Eaglin in their 1st year of Coaching.

Go Raiders! Henry is on a roll this year, however it would be nice to see the underdog win.! Good Sportsmanship and NO INJURIES.

Dixon and Sandlin at WV... Gayheart at Owen Brown, Mckee and Cann at Anderson The whole freshman class at South (particularly whitfield) Wainscott from Simon And I'm leaving out tons...just the few off the top of my head I can remember. I think player of the year honors will come down to Whitfield, Wainscott, and Gayheart. Should be quite a battle! I think Devine from Carroll County is one of the top players and will be interesting to watch this year.

I think Carroll County is 2-0 they beat Gallatin County this weekend. I have no idea on this game but I want the CC Panthers to win.

Owen will be very good this year, They should be fun to watch.

I saw most of the teams play this summer. Carroll always is overlooked pre-season. Gallatin or Henry could surprise. If Henry has all their girls back they may be good. Also Spencer may be a factor this year. I think it is wide open.. as usual after the 1st 2 teams. SO and Simon.

I think SIMON, Anderson, Owen, Carroll and Walton will all be good this year also.

Hope this game goes to Carroll County - to kick off their season. I am not familiar with Bracken Co. though. It is a long way to travel for the CC fans. I know a lot of the students are trying to find rides to support their team.
